Not really, take it back to pawn shop. if its not written on the unit it would cost more to get it unlocked then a new unit

I bought a ford radio cd 6000 rds eon an actually payed for a code in a ford dealer.I was given the code however since i moving houses, the paper they wrote the code got lost.I later had to change cars and...

Welcome to FixYa.

The problem with these security codes is that each radio carries a code that is unique and individual to the serial of radio itself. There is no master code for these radios. The good news is they can be decoded online without sending them to a shop.

Ford will charge £25 for supplying you with this code and this is why I always recommend this site which does them for only £5.99.

This is the simplest way to resolve your problem and save some money.

Just enter the serial details on site and you will have your code sent right back to your email or mobile phone. I use them regularly for radios that I repair and can confidently recommend them.

Hope it helps. Many thanks for using FixYa

I have recently bought a mazda mx6 v6 it has a grundig eon radio cassette s300 rds infomat which is asking for a code can you help please

stereo unlocking is done by an unlock cd and in my opinion there are three possible options.
1- you can go to ur car dealer and ask him to get an unlock cd for you.
2-you can go to a car stereo shop and ask them to unlock the radio for you
3-you can enter the model no of your car stereo in google and search for unlock cd by urself.

Need code 4 car volvo car tape/cd radio

The radio code is available from any Volvo dealership if you don't have the printed code # on the card that came with the car's owner manual. You will need to first obtain the serial number from the sticker on the bottom of the radio. Depending on year and model of your car, this can be obtained by yourself or have the dealer do it. Another option is that most car stereo shops will charge a small fee to remove and re-install your radio while getting the serial number for you. Take this number to the car dealer and they will give you the radio code. Input this and you're all set!

I just bought an used Chevrolet Epice from 2004 from a dealership. They didn't know the radio code, so I cannot use the audio system. Where I can find the unlock code?

Sometimes it's in the owners manual packet if you got one.

If it's a factory radio, the one that originally came with the car, a chevy dealer can get the code easily (you need vin# and sometimes info printed on radio casing).
If it's an aftermarket radio then you need to contact the radio's manufacturer or goto the local car audio shop.
It will probably cost less if you remove the radio yourself, so the shop can identify the serial numbers and such on it.
