Any malfunctions its gives error 'E'... Check paper jam, carriage struck, cartridges faulty and service related issues.checking carriage:Switch on the machine check carriage(the unit carrying print heads)moving left & right.. if its not moving, it might be struck in service station(service station located at right end and its allow carriage to rest on it during shut down as well as its cleans the print head nozzles). power the machine pull carriage out gently, don't force it..Clean encoder strip: Encoder is located back side of the carriage and its guides carriage to move properly, if encoder became dirty you will get error message, clean encoder with smooth cotton cloth.

Some of the ink-jets that shoot the ink onto the paper are clogged. Use the Lexmark software for the printer to run a few "print-head-cleaning" cycles, to try to unclog it. How do I find...

You can try to clean the head manually with a cloth damoened with warm water. Wipe it across the jets a few times then run a cleaning cycle. By the way, you should use plastic gloves as the ink won't wash off your hands. If this doesn't fix the printing, then you'll need a new cartridge as the jets are probably clogged and stuck.

Print heads need to be cleaned.. physically cleaned... the clean print heads option has been used 7 times with no improvement... it is as if there is a scrap of paper blocking where the ink head injects...

If you open the cover to change the printer cartridges the cartridges should center for you check to make sure the shipping tape has been removed from the cartridges also you should be able to see if any paper is blocking the heads.

Color ink cartridge show a full ink supply, but it won't print color.

It's possible that the ink-jets that spray the colour ink onto the paper have become clogged. Run the printer software, and select a "print-head-cleaning-cycle", to try to unclog those jets.

My lexmark printer prints a few lines properly, and then it misses the next few lines, or only partially prints them. How do I correct this problem?

On your inkjet printer, start the Lexmark software,
and run a "print-head-cleaning-cycle", since some (not all)
of the ink-jets that shoot the ink onto the paper are CLOGGED.

HP5550 printer is printing everything in green. We have true HP cartridges

So, your "blue" and "yellow" ink-cartridges are OK, and are mixing to produce "green".

But, either your "red" ink-cartridge is empty, or the ink-jets that shoot that colour onto the paper are BLOCKED.

Run a print-head-cleaning-cycle, using the HP Support Tools that were installed from the HP CD-ROM, and then, if necessary, replace/refill the "red" cartridge.

I am receiving an error message on my HP Officejet 6110 printer screen that prevents the printer from functioning. The message is "Open door. Clear carriage jam and then press enter." I've tried opening...

yes, that is a carriage jam and not paper, the grinding is from the clean station that gets blocked with dried ink and cant move. you need to open the printer and clean the ink off of the clean station so it can clean properly and not cause a carriage jam.

Canon PIXMA MP530 Error Code 5100

OK. It sounds like there's something on the carriage bar restricting the movement of the ink carrier. Perhaps some ink got on the bar.
Try taking a clean lintfree rag dampened with rubbing alcohol and clean the bar. This may have to be repeated a number of times to get the foreign matter off the bar and the ink carriage.
Let me know if this helps. iF it does not we can try something else.
Thanks.

Printer prints blank paper. I have cleaned and changed all ink. It was suggested to remove the print head and wash it. Where is the head? Please help. Need this for my home office. Thanks

It appears that the print head nozzles are blocked, it is difficult to clean, it may be cleaned with a ultrasonic cleaner. Most likely you will need to buy a new print head, these are not cheap and you may find it better to buy a new ink jet prnter.
Inkjet printer heads tend to block up if used infrequently, inkjet printers should be run/used every several days to prevent nozzels blocking. If this is your case and you only want to print black & white, I suggest you get a laser printer. It is cheaper to run and don't suffer from infrequent use.

Does not print

The CX series printers use a pigment based ink, and if it dries it frms a semi hard gooy substance on the printer ink input pins.

Sometimes after the insertion of new cartridges (Ensuring the yello tab is removed) and letting them sit overnight (to soften the ink blob) and running several cleaning cycles can unblock the ink "jam". Note: Epsons printer head need ink to cool them when printing (Sort of like oil in a car) so don;t try to print withot having ink flowing to the heads. It can also ruin the print head by overheating.

If all else fails there are several companies that sell inkjet cleaning solution. You may need a couple of cartridges to flush blocked jets but if will most likey work if the print head is still functional.

Otherwise, the technican is correct, you may need to purchase a new printer.

Note; For the future... Never let the ink run out of any cartridge without immediately replacing the cartridge. Never remove an empty cartridge without replacing it immediately.
