They are usually located on our near the lamp housing. Vancebaldwin should have one. They have a scew that secures them and then just unplug the wires

Mo steam or hot water

Check that the temperature sensor is working correctly. If it is covered in scale or otherwise faulty it may be causing the machine to leave the heat on longer than it should. If you have a multi meter use it to monitor the resistance through the ntc (providing the machine uses this kind of temperature sensor) as the temperature rises. It should be fairly linear. Try cleaning the sensor or replacing it. Also check to see if the heat is turned off when the water reaches the correct temperature.

Error 4

Unfortunately the error message 5 indicates that the thermal block and/or thermal sensor and possibly a control board need to be tested, and likely one or more, possibly all, replaced. My recommendation is to send it to Capresso ask what it will cost first. M

1998 nissan maxima runs hot, replaced the thermostat and at times gauge still register hot, what else could cause this?

Its possible that your problem also stay in the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor resistance changes in response to engine coolant temperature.

Keep in mindthat the sensor resistance decreases as coolant temperature increases. This provides a reference signal, which indicates engine coolant temperature, to the ECM.

Location fuses Whirpool duet dryer

The thermal fuse is located on the blower housing outlet to the left of the thermistor. For electric dryers, the thermal cut-off and high-limit thermostat are located on the heater housing. For gas dryers, the high-limit thermostat and the flame sensor are located on the burner.

Disconnect the dryer from the power outlet and turn-off the gas supply for gas dryers.

Remove the two screws at the bottom of the toe panel securing it to the cabinet. Pull the toe panel down and off the cabinet.

Check the continuity of the thermal fuse with an ohmmeter set to X1. The ohmmeter should read zero ohms. Replace both the thermal fuse (part #3392519) and the thermistor (part #8577274) if the resistance reads open or infinite. Remove the securing screws and install the replacement part.

Do the same with the thermal cut-off. Replace both the thermal cut-off (part #279973) and the high-limit thermostat (part #3391914) if the resistance reads open or infinite. Remove the securing screws and install the replacement part.

The high-limit thermostat is located next to the heater terminal block and next to it is the thermal cut-off.

Slide the toe panel in place up and into the cabinet and secure it with the screws.

Note: Disconnect the wires from the terminals of the component before performing the continuity test.

Can the thermal sensor be replaced by the tv owner without much trouble

Yes, it is located on the back of the lamp housing, you take the screws out of the fan duct and move it out of the way then there is a screw at the bottom of the thermal fuse on the back of the lamp housing unscrew it and pull the thermal fuse up and it will come out install a new one then put it all back together.

Slow write speed

Had the same problem with my WD2500KS-00MJB0. It also has the (widely reported) defect where the thermal sensor is not reporting correctly (ie 40C when it's just been powered on, and should be reading approx 20C!).

My suspicion is that this line of WD2500KS models has a defective thermal sensor, and after a period of time the thermal sensor fails. When this happens, I suspect that the drive firmware tries to lower the temperature by reducing write speed.

My drive was out of warranty, so I used the 'Customer Loyalty Upgrade' discount on the WD Warranty Check site to get a new 500G drive. I still have the old drive, and some technical knowledge, so I'll see if there's a hardware hack to disable the thermal sensor.

Otherwise, go to the WD site's Warranty Check page, and get yourself a (heavily discounted) Customer Loyalty replacement.
