This means your oven is over heating - easiest solution change control board - if you understand more - usually caused if the contacts on the relay are welded (stuck) together.

Heat cuts off on oven after being on for about 30 minutes. Code F2 appears.

Hi, F2 code means that the Oven temperature is too high.....
  • Look for welded relay contacts on bake or broil relays. If this happens, replace oven control (also called clock or ERC).
  • For SELF CLEAN models: check door lock operation.
  • Look for a high resistance connection or any other cause of high resistance in the oven temperature sensor circuit. Check sensor, sensor harness and sensor harness connection at sensor and oven control. Replace sensor if found defective.
  • Oven control (ERC) measures resistance of sensor circuit, not actual oven temperature.

What does f2 mean

F2 error code has to do with a problem in the oven temp sensor circuit . Remove the back and find the two wires that go to the oven sensor ( part about size of pencil that protrudes in the oven up high on left) these wires go to a connector . Cut out the connector and wire the wires together manually and use a small wire nut to reconnect them. this connector has been some source of problems. Also follow the wires up to the control board and remove andreinstall the connector there to make sure it is getting a good connection

F2:E1 Code

F-2 is oven temp too high, which would be a bad thermostat or thermistor.potentially. It could be the oven control module (which is probably what the guy changed out already).
Here is the code for kitchen Aid:

F2 - E0
F2 - E1 Keypad not connected Check keypad connector for firm connection.

F2 code on GE selfcleaning oven

The F2 fault code generally means the Oven temp exceeds 590 w/ unlocked door High resistance or interference in oven temperature sensor Might want to check the oven sensor for high resistance. Get a ohm reading of the oven sensor at room temperature and tell me what this reading is.

Error code f2 after replacing sensor.

If the sensor utilizes a plug, it is not uncommon for the plug connection to become intermittent. Cut the plug off the sensor and the wire harness. Directly 'hard wire' the sensor wires to the harness wires using CERAMIC wire nuts.. (no polarity here, sensor is a resistive element) regular plastic wire nuts will melt. If problem persists thereafter, the electronic control may have to be replaced.
