I can only get the right half of the speakers to work, how do I get the rest?

switch the speaker connectors and see if the ones that work on the right work on the left. if they do then your amp is ok and the problem is either the wiring for the right side or the right side speakers. If the speakers don't work when you try this swap, then you have a bad channel onn your amp and will need a bench mechanic to fix it, (if you could find one). also make sure that you have a signal to both the right and the left, this can be tested by again doing a swap, take the left feed and put it in the side that is now working and if you hear sound then the inpurs are ok

No sound on right speaker when playing input on CD or PHONO

Nothing should be connected to PHONO except a turntable.

Reverse the leads left-to-right and see where that takes you for the root. Might be a bad cable.

Right side speaker barely works

Likely the control is old and dirty.  It is known as a rheostat on older units and often a little contact cleaner on it will work.  A simple thing to try that might work is to rotate the knob back and forth, left to right, each time going to full stop.  do this several, several times.  See if this makes things better.  Of course, the assumption I am making is that the right speaker is operating normally.  If you switch out the left speaker for the right, and the problem persists, on the same side, it is the receiver.  If the problem now appears on the left side, it is a speaker issue and not the receiver.  Good luck and let us know how it goes.

New alpine speakers just stopped working on one side of my car and don't know what to do

Just check the wiring connection from receiver to your speaker,try to interchanges the left and right or to one side and to other side,so we know that the speaker is the problem .If happens still only one side is working even you interchange,then the problem is the speaker. If happens the speaker from left to right is working then the right to left is not works then the problem is the one side of the amplifier section is defected maybe the IC chip is busted or just loose,crack or cold solder joint.If cold solder only then reworks the solder joints in amplifier section.Then if the speaker is defected just reworks the solder connection of the speaker only .If still not working even you resolder the speaker then thats is the time you replaced the speaker...

Hope this may help;

Sound not coming from left side surround sound speaker or my right side front speaker

it is highly likely that you're TV is outputting mono sound, hence the left channel only. check your physical connections to the TV and the balance / channel volume on the television as well.
