Try Ebay. Search for the kind of board or replacement.

You could also use the Internet and do the same.

My Gateway GT5252 won't power up but after unplugging the P2 connector on the motherboard it does power alright. Does anyone know what P2 powers and/or have any suggestions? thanks, PCBob

the p2 connector is for monitoring purposes i believe in regards to the powersupply fan, it isnt a requirement to plug in, in this regard but if it boots fine with out the connector then the possibility is there that you might be looking at getting a new powersupply eventually.

I have a Gateway GT5056, no monitor will work.

The video card you have is integrated into the motherboard. You would have to buy a whole new motherboard to fix the problem. It would almost be cheaper to buy a new computer though.

Computer doesn't start up all the way and becomes unresponsive

You need to go into the Bios on the first screen during start -up usually this can be done by repeatedly pressing the delete key as soon as you see the monitor light flash. In the Bios you will need to look for the power menu section and try to turn off all the suspend and sleep modes. Save the changes and reboot your computer by hitting the f-10 key. this will reboot you computer and maybe it will turn on normally. If it does then you are having a problem with this function and the function in the windows program. If you are allowed to boot-up and get into the window program go to the power saving function in the control panel and turn those off also. This is a known problem with some motherboards. You can then go on the websites of you products, both the computer maker and windows. Check out the support service and look at the frequently asked questions and troubleshooting sections. They may have listings for the problem and solutions printed. This could also be a hardware problem, like bad power supply or problems with the motherboard. These problems should tested in a service center to find the problem. I hope this helps you with your problem.

Signal to monitor goes in and out, mostly out

Hopefully, it is just the on board video that has gone bad, and not the motherboard. When you install a video card on a PC, that has on board or integrated video, you will need to access the BIOS screen on start up and disable the on board video. That way the video signal will come from the new video card and not the on board video.

I hope this helps,

Eric
