Dell printer problems

This isn't actually a problem with the printer, but with Excel's print preferences.

In Excel, select File->Print to bring up the print dialog.
Select your Dell 3100 if it's not the default, and then hit the Properties button just to the right of the printer name.
On the printer properties dialog, there's a field named "Paper size"
Click on that field and select "Letter (8.5 x 11 in)" You may have to scroll to find this selection.

Hit OK to close the printer properties dialog, then hit OK to print your worksheet.

Usually the format is the problem,I usually take a screenshot,paste it to paint,then print from there.Or copy and paste the info to wordpad and print from there.

Try doing the following from the browser window. Go to File>Page Setup and unclick shrink to fit. Then print.

• Unplug the printer cable from the computer.
• Unistall the printer drivers from Device manager and also unistall the all the printer appications
• restart the computer
• try to download drivers from the website
• after installing drivers and software it will ask you to connect the printer.
• then you can connect the printer and and try to Print the test page.

try downloading HP Smart web printing from Hp.com web site, that should fix your email problems, reply back if the issue is not resolved.

I had this problem on my Vista pc but it was for all programs it would say its printing and nothing happened,what I did was leave the old one installed on the pc and created another and then deleted the old.But have you tried uninstalling excell and re-installing it to see if that changes anything, and when you reinstalled epson did you go to their site and download the updated firmware/software for the printer this could be another cause?!

try new driver remove all old drivers then go web site only dell.com download ltest drivers for your xp or vista ok

Try uodating your printer drivers ,Try to change default printer

sounds like a settings issue with your browser to me.

Does it happen while printing from all the applications or from only any particular appication or from e-mail/web printing ?

Click Start (Windows Icon) - Printers Folder

Right click on the printer icon Officejet 5600 series and select properties. Click on the Advanced Tab. Enable the option Print Directly to printer. click Apply and OK. Check for the result.
