Game disc cannot be read

Older Wii consoles have problems with newer games like Super Smash Bros. Brawl as they use Double-Layer discs. The layer in the console is very sensitive to dust, a cleaning disc may solve that problem. Else, send the wii to Nintendo's support.

I bought Super Mario Smash Bros Brawl game for nintendo wii. I keep getting a message saying unable to read disc, it is a brand new disc and all my other games work perfectly. However this is the second of...

The reason for this is that the "eye" in your Wii to read the disc is too dusty to read the disc, as it is a 2 layered disc. Call up Nintendo and ask them for help, they will tell you what to do and they will clean out your Wii for free.

Super smashbros disc does not work.

Ok,
as you may or may not be aware ssbb is a HUGE game.
So if your wii has ANY dust inside the disc reader at all then you cannot read the game.
Simply send off to nintendo for a free cleaning, and it should be fine.
Hope this helped!

Wii console states that it cannot read Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Will your game disc play on your neighbor's console? If it does not, then you might have a bad disc. Take your receipt and the game back to the store, they will exchange a game for the same title, with receipt.

Thanks for using the FixYa forums!

Super Smash Brother Brawl for the Wii platform has a continuous disc read error.

This is a common problem, Super smash brother brawl uses a dual layer disk and a lot of drives have trouble reading it. if you look on the nintendo website they are offering a FREE repair service for consoles with this particular problem

My wii wont load any games

We had similar problems after buying Super Smash Bros Brawl. I noticed that the Wii could read which disc was in the system but could not load it in order to play. This seemed like a shortage of memory to me (but the error message does not indicate a memory issue). I bought a 1 gig sd memory card for the Wii and now it works perfectly. BTW the kid at the Best Buy store did not think this would work, but it did. Good Luck.
