have a HP a630n PC. lost the driver on a reformat that runs
my online connection w/ bellsouth.net my ISP I am on my laptop now...can I download the needed drivers to a CD/DVD here and then xfer it to my desktop PC?

Yes you can for that please Click Here So that you can download the drivers from hp.
