Frigidaire front load washer will not spin

It drains, but will not spin at high speed (it will spin at low speed to "separate" the clothes). any ideas?

We have a LYF600ES1 that is 1.5 years old. Just started with a problem within the last two weeks of being able to shift the cycle mode on the control panel. Turning the knob does not change the cycle without pushing in with considerable pressure.

The unit now does not spin water out of the clothes. All other cycles appear to function properly. The drum does not spin and it shut down with 6 to 8 minutes left on the cycle. The water is pumped out of the washer, but clothes are not spun. It acted like it was trying to spin and then shut down. The clothes were "dripping" wet.

We checked the drain and it is open and clear. No visible abnormalities from external view.

Two possible reasons the lid switch may be defective, or the spin bearing may be worn.

Frigidaire Gallery washer won't produce final high spin

Hey friend, thank you for your post!
I see that your Frigidaire washer, FWT449GFS2 is not entering the final high spin cycle. It is possible that you could have a defective motor or timer. Since it could be any one of these underlying issues I would recommend you having a professional come out to the home for the repair of your washer. -Matt

Hi, my frigidaire gallery front load washer is not rinsing and doing the high speed spin, where it drains all the water. My clothes are still soapy. can you give me an idea of how to fix it? Thank You

check the pipes are not blocked and the drain is high enough. the pipe has to be up to about 3 feet then down into the drain. . the pipes sometimes get clogged with hair or stuff. if you take the back off be very carefull as there are things in the back of a washing machine that hold charge and you can get electric shock easily. if you do take the top and back off. spray the pump with WD40 it might be stuck. but be careful do not touch anything in the back.

Frigidaire front loader washing machine won't spin...

The problem is a faulty Door Latch Assembly. The same thing happened to my Frigidaire front load washer. The part is easy to install, costs about 60 dollars and can be picked up at most appliance repair stores . To access the switch just remove the wire around the front drum gasket, peel back the rubber gasket beside the switch assembly then remove the two screws holding it in place. remove the three wire connector blocks and swap in the new switch. My washer was giving me error code 41 witch is a faulty control board. But the problem was in fact only the switch...

Clothes too wet upon cycle completion...

Try reducing the amount of low sudsing detergent you are using. This can make the load too heavy and won't spin out. Remember suds have 3 parts, air, detergent, and water. The drain pump is designed for water, so if you see suds during the wash, it will be worst on warm and hot, then there is too much detergent, or is not low sudsing. I know Bosch reccommends HE, however HE liquids normally are not low sudsing, just High Engery. Also the Permanent Press cycles are always a lower spin speed. Hope this helps

Doesn't spin the clothes dry on the final spin but spins at high revolutions without a load of clothes

I have read that if the pump is not draining the tub completely, there is an interlock that prevents the high speed spin from engagin. I have had debris caught in my pump several times (kids!!) with similar issues. There is a trap on the line leading from the tub to the pump which is "supposed" to capture debris, but it doesn't work all that well. Check your pump.....
