SOURCE: nitro BMW 484 1200 watt amp.
check fuses and remote wire at the head unit. must have a good ground at amp.
SOURCE: my nitro bmw-486 amp is in protect mode how can I
protect mode is activated either because of a short in a speaker wire or because of excessive line voltage like the volume being too loud. atleast that the most common reasons that I have experienced.

SOURCE: hello, i have a nitro
its because to be honest. its not that good of an amp. im not bashing your choice bro, but cheaper amps use cheaper components inside, which means the little parts get hot and tell the amp to protect itself from burning up and go into a standby mode.
maybe you have loose wires in the speake rbox, which are bouncing around and making it short, or your trying to jam too hard and the amp is just getting too hot. its probably in your trunk or under your seat and that dont help the amp at all. it needs to be cool when its on,
turn down the gain . i know it makes it bass more, but your over driving the amp, which makes it get hot faster.
if the amp is good quality amp, then maybe your speakers are not strong enough to handle the power and it makes the amp hot because it cannot get rid of the power thru the speakers like its supposed to.
turn the gain down, use bigger wire to the speakers.
the amp will also get hot if you dont have enought power for what it needs. maybe you need a 1 farad cap between your battery and the amp on the red wire. the cap holds extra power so the amp dont struggle to get 14.5 volts from your 12 volt battery.
