Question about U-Line Icemaker

Bin Arm The bin arm in my U-line icemaker came out. How do I put it back in?

Mine is out as well. Seems like it should be a simple fix for a reasonably handy home owner. The wire bin arm does not look bent or broken. Where can I find drawings to put it back or find parts?

It probably broken, these do not normally just come out. Please go to www.u-lineservice.com and click on the parts distributor search engine. These parts are available and this icemaker can be repaired. It's a little tricky to replace, but it can be done. Make sure to cut the power when working inside this icemaker.

The ice maker stopped making ice one day

A typical problem with these is some type of bin sensor that tells the icemaker that the bin is full. it is usually some type of "arm" that shuts it off when the ice rises to a level that raises the "arm" to "kill" the icemaker

Need to know how to turn on ice maker in whirlpool gz25fsrxyy2

Should be a wire feeler arm that runs front to back on that icemaker. If it is stuck in the up position---the icemaker is OFF. It should be hanging downward to be in the ON position. If up---just gentley pull it down until it is moving freely. As the ice bin fill with cubes that arm should move up and down with the icemaker. Once the cube level is high enough for the feeler arm to be held in the up position it will stop making ice until you use enough cubes for the arm to fall again.

The icemaker is not making ice as fast as it would before. It dumps a tray of ice about every 4 hours.

Make sure that there are no kinks in the water line.
Next, inspect the feeler arm of the ice maker and make sure that it is down and not blocked by any ice cubes. If it's raised, it has turned the ice maker off. This arm needs to be in the lowered position to activate the ice maker An over-abundance of ice in the bin will make the arm stay up as a safety feature to keep the ice maker from making more ice than the bin can hold.

1st remove the icemaker from the unit. Then take the faceplate off.You might find that the support housing is fighting you.You should be able to move the arm into place as long as the icemaker is out.

Ice maker overfill

The metal off/on arm may be disconnected. A full bin should keep the arm in the up position and shut off the ice maker.
Remove, then re-insert the metal arm in the back of the ice maker control head.
Make sure that a full bin of ice activates the control arm.
You may need to buy a replacement arm that is longer so that the ice catches on the arm.
