Replaced the memory card...still only allows 7 pictures to be taken. In the viewfinder there is a camera icon in top R corner...i am assuming i hit something wrong but cannot get it to change Thanks Mike
If your SD card is more than 512mb the Kodak C340 will not read it. I had the same problem. I tryed to use a 1gb and it would not work and I also had the camera icon in the corner......You did not hit anything wrong......Try a smaller than 1gb sd card.......Hope this helped :)

If the "other" pictures have been taken with a differed camera your camera will not read the memory card until it is formatted to your camera. Formatting will erase all pictures on the card. You need to download the pictures to the computer. Format the memory card and then you will be able to transfer pictures from the internal memory to the memory card then to print or to the computer. You should format the memory card after each time you download the pictures to the computer.
the camera allows for 8 pics to be taken using its internal memory (IN). If you want to be able to get more images than that you can purchase an xD picture card that gets inserted to the camera that will allow for more images to be taken and stored. The camera more than likely supports 1gb or 2gb capacities of xD cards.
its the memory buffer. the booklet says that the "r" means remaining. i think the blinking is just the camera saving the pics to the memory card. i think the memory buffer is full and you have to wait for it to finish saving. if you want to be able to take more continuous pics i think you can turn down the quality and it will take more. hope this helps
No, the A420 does not have internal memory. The card that came with the camera is only intended to allow you to try the camera to make sure it works. You should really purchase a new SD card. New ones these days are literally capable of holding hundreds if not thousands of pictures, and cost less than $7. Here's an example:
Some digital SLR camera have a mirror lock and others have a viewfinder shutter
In each case this will be a knob in the region of the viewfinder that turns.
Check that this model has it and it has not be inadvertently turned.
Then come back
