If you are able to print form the computer.
Then follow the following steps:
Take out both the cartridges from the printer and unplug the power cable from the All-In-One and the wall outlet.
Leave the power cord unplugged for at least 1Mins time.
Connect the power cable directly to a wall outlet without a surg protector.
And before connecting the power cable back to the All-In-One press and hold the # and No 6 button and connect the power cord do not release the keys untill you see a message as Semiful reset.
And if the unit is turned Off then release the keys and turn the power on and try copying or printing.

Good Luck

Copier prints fine from computer. When asked to copy from a document placed on the glass, error message pops up"paper size detected is not supported. Job cancelled." The paper is the same we have...

If the copier is working fine as a printer using you computer as command , then nothing is wrong with the copier . But if you want to place a document on the glass and make copies , then you need to push on the copier machine the " start " button . You will be back on business .

Cood luck . Wilson

Check if your copier has DUPLEX unit installed, the Duplex unit is a optional component for copiers, seems that you don't have that option installed.

My Dell copier model# A920 will not copy manually

If you want to scan you will need to connect the device to a computer. For copying, place a document to be copied on the flatbed scanner and press the color or black button (as appropriate).

Copies run through feeder distorted

Document feeder Paper feed rollers should be cleaned with alcohol, blow out the document feed area with compressed air (computer duster), check feeder for bits of paper, post it notes, and signature flags. Clean glass, check for sticky areas on the glass.

Hope this is of some help.

I can't scann a document

Insert your disk and click explore instead of open. Then find the 'scan' folder and right click and open it. Look for a picture of a cd and something and try opening that. Otherwise you might want to reinstall your printer cd.

If it is flat out dead there is a simple fix.
Turn the machine off, and on the back of the machine disconnect the white connector with the 2 thumb screws. Then turn the machine back on with that plug disconnected. Let it come to ready, shut the machine back off, plug the connector back in, tighten the 2 thumb screws and power it back up and let the software re establish communication with the document feeder.
For some reason the machine will forget it has the document feeder.
There is also a version 3.2 firmware on that prevents those problems and also makes copy quality much better.

Copier leaves an ink line down the front of the document when fed through the unit.

Hi there if the line appears when you use the document feeder then there is usually either Correction fluid or pen ink on the small piece of glass to the left of the main glass when you open the lid you can easily clean this by wiping the glass with windowlene or some sort of glass cleaner and this will get rid of your problem.

If the line appears when coping from the glass then the printout from the computer will be the same and that usually means that the print heads need cleaning. Take them out and using a soft cloth wipe the print heads clean from any dried toner.

Hope this help you
Thanks J

Paper shifts

Does it happen both off the copy glass & thru the document feeder or only off the document feeder. If both - check the side guides inside the cassette to make sure they are tight against the paper. If it only happens when using the feeder- the feeder tray needs to be adjusted. There is usually 2 screws under the document tray that when loosened allow for side to side adjustment. Moving the tray should solve the problem if it is only happening when you use the document feeder.
