What type of oil do I use in this mower I got it second hand

SAE 30 is standard or 10w 30 for colder conditions plus works as an all round oil but may burn quicker so need to check levels more often with 10w-30, recommended to change oil every 25hrs use and replace filter every other oil change.

What kind of hydraulic oil for woods 6200 zero turn mower?

There should be a label on the mower that lists the recommended hydraulic oil to use. I could not find the exact oil type for your model, but the label should be on the back of the mower.

If you are unable to locate the label, contact Woods support here:

What engine oil do I need for my yardman 6.0 HP push mower?

SAE 30 only; if using conventional oil. I recommend using synthetic engine oil. If you go with synthetic, you can use a multi-viscosity oil like 10W-30, but only use staight SAE 30 if using conventional oil. Many benefits to using synthetic oil. It cleans the engine as it runs, it provides superior protection and helps cool the engine parts better, and it almost assures you 100% that your engine won't fail because of the type of oil used.

Type of oil needed

Briggs recommends you use as SAE 30 weight oil if using conventional oil. Multi-viscocity oil (like 10W-30) is acceptable if using synthetic oil, that is 100% synthetic, not a blend.

Can you please advise which oil to put in my B & S rideon mower. Model 261777 Type 013801

Hi verndono,
Briggs and Stratton recommends to use SF or SG. SAE-30 or 10w-30 oil for temps above 40F (4C) , SAE 10W oil for temps between 40F (4C) and 0F (-18C) and SAE 5W-20 (or 10W oil diluted with 10% kerosene) for below 0F (-18C). I suggest you use 10W-30 or SAE-30 and you will be good to go. Hope this helps. Best regards. Denis.

Do it use mixed gas and what type of oil

Fuel/Oil Mixture
  1. Use a quality 2 cycle oil and mix it to the OIL supplier's recommended ratio. Today I use Stihl 2 cycle oil mixed @ 50:1 in a Pioneer that I purchased new in 1980. There are no gouges or scratches on the piston or cylinder and I have no carbon build up on the piston top. The manual (on stone tablets) recommends 24:1. Over the years the mixture has leaned from 24:1 (Saw Recommendation) to 28:1 (Lawn boy mower recommendation) to 32:1 (Oil provider 8oz/2gal - used for many years) and finally the last 5 (±) years 50:1 (Stihl 2.6oz/1gal)
  2. Today most gas in the US of A contains ethanol; not good with chainsaws. Mix what you expect to use within a few months. Anything over 6 months old use up in a 4 cycle engine. HTH

What type of oil to use when changing oil

For any four cycle engine (engines with separate oil and fuel fill locations) use high quality detergents in the following viscosity.

For Briggs & Stratton engines use an SAE30 oil above 40 degrees F (4 C) and below this temperature use 5W-30.

For Tecumseh engines use an SAE30 oil above 32 degrees F (0 C) and below this temperature use 5W-30.

For Kohler L-Head engines use an SAE30 oil above 32 degrees F (0 C) and below this temperature use 5W-30. For Kohler Overhead Valve engines use a 10W-30 above 0 degree F (-18 C), and below this temperature use a 5W-30.

For Honda engines,10W-30 is recommended for general use, and above 55 degrees F (10 C) you can use an SAE 30.

For MTD Brand engines, SAE 10W-30 is recommended for general, all-temperature use.
(From the MTD answer pages). Best regards, --W/D-- Please feel free to rate my solution. Thanx.
