Foreign object in soap dispenser

A small bottle stop dropped into the soap dispenser and I was unable to retrieve it before it fell into the tube in the far back part of the tray. Is there a screen that will catch this bottle stopper before it gets into the pump or other parts of the washer? How can I remove the bottle stopper. It is about a 1/2" in dia. Thx. Steve

Try using a vacuum cleaner to suck the bottle cap otherwise fill the tray with water and when the cap starts floating you can take it out

Unplug machine from power, do not restart it until you get the plastic cap, as you can cause more damage.
Try first using a long stick to reach the object at the end of the drawer, inside the hose, be careful not to hole the hose or brak other parts inside the drawer.
If it does not come out this way, I am afraid you will need to take apart the back , and probably also the top panel.
You need to access the hose starting from the detergent drawer and ending into the pump, once the hose is lose on both sides you blow compressed air inside the hose.
If you do not start the machine the pump cannot be damaged.
If you start the washing machine with the object inside, in the best case it will malfunction because hose is obstructed. In worst case you burn the pump as the hose get obstructed.

If machine is less than one year old this maintainance can be covered with guaranty,

If you need to call in a repairman you can use the number listed at the end of the user manual.

Noisey drum

Hi, What machine have you got? Some machines you can remove the lifters to get inside the drum, or you maybe able to remove the sump hose, I normally take out the heating element and use a magnetic tool to get foreign objects out, be warned though sometimes you may not be able to refit the heater because the seal would have been compressed, and therfore would have to buy a new one, I recommend getting the top removed as using the machine with it in can result in a lot of damage.

I have a whirlpool duet washer that when it is started the water runs out of the soap dispenser and when draining there is a grinding whine as the barrel spins. Does anyone have a solution for this?

Remove the soap dispenser check drain hole for foreign object. I've seen socks, toys, and those new soap pod casings cause the same symptom. Try to spin your basket buy hand. It should spin freely and coast to a stop with no noise. If you hear scraping or if it comes to a sudden stop, there is likey a sock or the like between the basket and tub. Use a flashlight to locate by shining it at the holes in basket. If it's there you will likely see it. Try to drag it out of there with straightened hanger or perhaps it's close enough to grab with needlenose pliers. Good Luck.

I have a Whirlpool Duet and the water is over flowing from the soap drawer. I have already cleaned out the soap drawer and tried flushing the opening that leads into the machine with a hose. Any other...

This is inevitably caused by a blockage. The small fabric conditioner compartment in the soap dispenser drawer has a removable plastic cap. This cap fits on the top of a tube which has a hole running through it where the water should siphon through.

When the time comes for the fabric conditioner to be released, cold water enters the small compartment and just washes the conditioner over the top and down the dispenser to the tub. When the water stops flowing, all that is left is the clear water. This water should siphon up the inside of the cap and down the tube.

This tube often gets blocked with the conditioner and if you remove the dispenser drawer and take off the cap you can give the whole thing a good clean out. If the cap is missing, the siphoning will not occur.

To test the function, hold the soap drawer under the tap and allow the water to fill the fabric compartment to overflowing. When you turn off the tap, the remaining water should slowly siphon out of the hole under the cap.

Water is coming out of the soap dispenser, what do

We had water pour out of the dispenser of our Kenmore HE2 washer. hot water helped us for one load then i realize that a trapped rag was the problem We were actually able to pull the face cloth out of the intake tube without taking everything apart!
opened the washer door and feel around inside the rubber seals to find where the intake tube connects to the drum (upper-left side). felt a small bit of cloth sticking out of the tube and were able to slowly work it out by pulling back and forth. and pulled it completely out thats all it was try this

Dropped a plastic piece into soap dispenser

#
1

Disconnect your Kenmore Oasis washing machine from its power source. Make sure that your washer is unplugged before beginning to disassemble it.
#
2

Remove the screws that hold the control console to the top of your Oasis washer. In some Kenmore Oasis models, the two screws may be covered by plastic end caps. After removing the screws, set them aside until you are ready to replace them.
#
3

Flip the console up, back and out of the way.
4

Locate the cabinet clips on the top of your Kenmore Oasis washer. These clips are located toward the back of the washer top and would be hidden by the console if it were not currently flipped up.
#
5

Slide your screwdriver underneath the metal cabinet clips. Wiggle the screwdriver back and forth to gently pry the cabinet clips free.
#
6

Disconnect the group of colored wires that plug into the top of the washer from the control console. These wires control the lid switch on your Kenmore washing machine. To disconnect, grasp the white plastic clip and pull gently.
#
7

Remove the washing machine cabinet. Tilt the cabinet towards you, and then lift the entire cabinet up and off of its platform.
