Our steam cleaner does not spray soap mixture or vacuum up water at this point. It worked great when we first purchased it. Any suggestions?

When you turn the vacuum on check to see if the brush underneath is spinning if not you have to replace the belt

There is a washer type of deal that goes between the water container and the vacuum. if it isnt there , ther is no suction.

Bissell carpet shampooer model 9200-9 that is not dispensing cleaning solution

I had the same problem with my Bissell carpet cleaner. I tried all the recommendations but nothing worked. After reading all the blogs, I discovered that many people had the same problem. Fortunately, I still had the receipt from Costco which they honored and gave me a full refund. I was ready to throw it in the trash.

Leaking rusty water

Ensure the black "duckbill" gasket is mounted on the bottom of the dirty water tank. This gasket is removeable, and resembles a duck bill.

When i purchased mine at Target, new - it was missing the gasket, causing loss of suction. Interestingly it worked for a week or 2 then started leaking. Now, with the gasket in place, it works like a charm.

Gasket is about 2 bucks available from Bissell.

Bissell carpet shampooer wont dispense water

Bad Pump. You pump is where the belt attaches to spin the brushes and also puts water on the floor. Take it to you local Best Buy to be serviced or a local appliance shop which may service it.

Changing from carpet cleaning to hard floor...

Bissell 9500 ProHeat 2X Clean Shot Upright
How do you change machine from carpet cleaning to hard floor cleaning?

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.
The Bissell 9500 ProHeat 2X Clean Shot Upright are mainly designed to do mostly carpet, you can use it for bare floors, but for good wood floors I would use less water and pickup the water ASAP because you don’t want the good wood floor to warp - linoleum floors are fine but be careful with wood floors, and remember that the Bissell 9500 ProHeat 2X Clean Shot Uprights
Clean on the pull back, you squeeze the trigger, dispense water, the machine will use the scrubbing brushes to clean and the vacuum will pickup the water all in one smooth motion.
For further information please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in the area or the yellow pages or contact the Bissell Factory @ the information listed below:
