the on screen graphics are sourced from red, green ,blue drives,..your fault is with the colour decoder .sorry it is a repair that needs a expert engineer ..it could be dry jointed to test for dry joints try tapping the back cover or bottom of the set ..good luck farr64[colin]

I have the same problem too. Need a fix. This tv isnt that old and is not used that much. does not seem to be the cables or cable box. the menu has color to it but the channel picture is in black and white, flickers a bit, and seems to be in a very large pixle form. it this able to be fixed? Please Help.

It sounds like your grandson found the "monochrome" setting in the menu on your remote. It may be in the "picture settings", "set-up" or "advanced" setting.

You probably got a cable issue specially if this is only on one channel or your tuner is going out one o the two here.

Check signal have a ingress check doneo n the tuner you will be glad you did. Please do use our chat option if you need further details.

Black and white

Your not getting color probably because of a weak "air" signal. The fix is a better antenna or an antenna booster.

on the remote look for a button marked 'system' or 'sys' using that button try to take the color system on your DVD channel to be on BG. If that's not possible get into the menu for the telly and search for 'color system' and get it to be on BG.
