My problem is that it emptys very slowly and because of this it's leaving my pots not cleaned properly.
I took the filters out in the bottom of the machine, took the cover( held in by one screw) pulled out the pump impeller cover after sponging out the residue water to find that some of the veins on the impeller have been broken off ! i am hoping that this is the cause of my machine not emptying properly. hope this helps. ****.My problem is that it emptys very slowly and because of this it's leaving my pots not cleaned properly.

If the drain is plumbed into a spigot on the sink trap, then this spigot is blanked off to prevent water coming out when you empty the sink. remove blank

Hi first you need to listen on the emptying cycle if the pump is running if you think it is then turn all electric off to the washer & find the filter it should be in your manual it may be blocked & its not un common for screws or small change button's ect' to block this if you don't have a filter the pump itself could be blocked when turned off & left for 30 mins use a spin cycle & listen if the pump is running if you have to empty the washer whilst still full make sure you have a large vessel for the water & something like a chopping board to deflect the water & have towels & mop's @ the ready hope this helps
You've probably got some debris in the pump, or blocking the pump inlet. If you can do this without making a mess (or shocking yourself,) try backflushing the drain hose.
hi sharon, i had simular problem, if your waste outlet from your machine to kitchen sink is pushed on to sink waste sometimes held with jubilee clip, disconnect it and check weather its clear cos it can get build up of ****** and stop water from draining, hope this helps.
Very likely that the filter is blocked. Because the machine senses there is still water present it carries on spinning but the blocked filter is preventing the machine emptying. Turn off the power at the plug. The filter is usually mounted at the front near to the floor. Unscrew counter clockwise and be prepared for some water to leak out. Clean the filter under a tap, it will probably looked blocked and then re fit. Select a short programme cycle and see if the fault is cured.
I had same symptoms on a Hotpoint dishwasher.
Turned out to be a failed water heater.
The logic in this case goes like this:
When wash cycle starts, the first thing the machine does is pump out any water that has collected in the sump since it was last run.
It then allows a small amount of clean water in and enables the water heater.
If heater okay, it then continues with the rest of cycle.
In this case, the control board detected failed heater so pumps out the water and then stops with an error code shown by a flashing lamp.
No simple fix I'm afraid - machine had to be turned on its side, bottom panel removed, several items had to be removed to get at the water heater which was then repalced with a new one.
You dont state what make/model your dishwasher is so maybe worth adding this information as someone else may recognise your fault and have a quick fix.
