Side-door of fridge bottom shelf broken . How can I get a replacement?

Your description sounds like a loss of air flow problem. Check for overloading your freezer and fresh food side. In order for the freezer and fresh food side to work properly, the air vents need adequate room for air to circulate. I had a customer who completey filled the middle shelf with cardboard boxes and completely blocked air flow on the middle shelf The lower level near the evaporator was extremely cold and the upper area was room temperature in the freezer. Each shelf needs about an inch of room at the back and room between packaging to allow air to circulate.

if it is the very bottom shelf then here is your part number 240354602.

Behind the back wall of the freezer about halfway down, probably behind the light bulb (if there is one there) there is a fan. My guess is that the fan isn't working, or is slow. To test, open the freezer door, then hold the door switch closed and listen for the fan.

This fan should be blowing air up the back of the freezer, and send some of the cold air through a vent at the top of the freezer into the fridge. The air then descends through the fridge and reenters the freezer through a vent at the bottom. If the fan is broken, or if the upper vent is somehow blocked or broken, the cold air will enter (rather than exit) the fridge side at the bottom vent. Because cold air tends to descend and warm air rises, the cold air will freeze the stuff at the bottom of the fridge, and the thermostat (at the top of the fridge) will say it is warm.

hi there......you havent stated the manufacturer of your fridge...however obtaining shelves for your fridge should be no problem..provided you have the model and serial number and if possible the product code.(a) contact your local your local domestic apliance repair/spares shop....(b) go online to the manufacturers web site...(c) go on line to google enter your fridge details this will provide you with information where to obtain your parts...

the door shelf may be a different issue...if the shelf is part of the door lining then you will need a relpacemant door

just move it from the bottom to the top and your problem will be gone or if that doesnt help any branch of fridgeshelves r us your friend mr fixit

The drain is clogged. The drain is usually located inside the freezer on the bottom shelf to the rear. Use a meat baster and a solution of 1 tsp. baking soda and 2 cups of hot water-not boiling to unclog the drain. You probably also have about 1/2 inch of ice build-up on the bottom shelf. This will have to be removed first.

song to me door gasket was not properly installed, We using electric steamers to make rubber softer and good sticking. Right after door seal was replaced. Also, it could be that: a bottom door hinge parts broken /little white plastic cams damaged/,or, fridge not leveled or too heavy load on door shelfs.

Yes, there is supposed to be a plastic bushing/washer under there. Usually 1/8 inch thick. If a dealer is not handy you may cut some out of plastic to put there. Then undo the top hinge, and carefully lift the door off (you might want to empty the shelfs). Put your spacer on the hinge pin, and replace the door and the top hinge.
