Hi,

Try downloading this webcam driver.

http://support.us.dell.com/support/downloads/download.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&releaseid=R189396&formatcnt=0&libid=0&typeid=-1&dateid=-1&formatid=-1&source=-1&fileid=259777

Then follow this.

Download

1.Click Download Now, to download the file.
2.When the File Download window appears, click Save (Windows XP
users will click Save) this program to disk and click OK. The Save In:
window appears.
3.From the Save In: field, click the down arrow then click to
select Desktop and click Save. The file will download to your desktop.
4.If the Download Complete window appears, click Close. The file
icon appears on your desktop.

Install

1.Double-click the new icon on the desktop labeled R189396.exe.
2.The Self-Extracting window appears and prompts you to extract or
unzip to C:\DELL\DRIVERS\R189396. Write down this path so the executable (I.e.
Setup.exe) file can be found later.
3.The Self-Extractor window appears.
4.Click OK.
5.After completing the file extraction, if the Self-Extractor
window is still open, close it.
6.Click the Start button and then click Run.
7.Type C:\DELL\DRIVERS\R189396 in the Open textbox and then click OK.
8.Follow the on-screen installation instructions.

If you have anymore questions, you can contact me here.

Thanks,

Oliver

How to begin using webcam

On Windows 7 and Windows 8 you can usually just plug in the webcam and wait a few seconds for Windows to automatically install basic/generic "driver" software which allows the webcam to work. You can check if the webcam is recognised and installed by going to Control Panel/Device Manager. In the Device Manager window locate and click on "Imaging Devices" to see your webcam listed. If there's a yellow exclamation point (!) or nothing listed under Imaging Devices then the webcam is not installed. In this case unplug the webcam, wait a few seconds, then plug it back in and see what happens.
With some webcams you must install software and drivers BEFORE you plug the webcam in. In that case, unplug the webcam then install drivers from a CD included with the webcam or download the drivers from the maker's website and install them. Make sure to choose the driver version specified as compatible with your version of Windows. After installing the drivers, restart the computer and wait for it to boot up fully, then plug in the webcam and see if it works.
One last possibility is that your webcam is too old to work with newer Windows versions. For example, we have an old Kodak DVC325 webcam which worked OK in Windows 98, ME, and Windows XP with SP1 and SP2, but it does NOT work in Windows XP with SP3 or any newer Windows version. Too bad, really, because it's a darn good little webcam!

Not work my webcam on my asus n53jq-xr1. the

Hello,
Shutdown the computer and disconnect webcam. Restart computer then after full boot, attach webcam and test to see if webcam works. If this does not solve the problem restart the computer with webcam attached. If this does not solve the problem then the webcam may be broken. If this is an internal webcam I recommend contacting the manufacturer.

Cam was working now says no webcam detected or not working properly

This could be due to updates on your computer, faulty webcam or driver.

Check the properties in devices in control panel. Troubleshoot to see if the drivers need updating and if the webcam appears as working properly.

Then you can check if the webcam is working on another machine? Does it power up?

WEBCAM NOT WORKING

You need to install the proper drivers for the webcam.
The installation of a webcam itself is simple for a USB or built in webcam.

If you do not have the drivers, you need to try a hardware identification program or driver update tool.

Webcam is not operating

Do you know for sure your webcam is working? Have a look at this webcam problem fixing article.

At least check:
- the Device Manager to make sure the webcam drivers are installed
- a different program, like SplitCam, to see if the webcam really works
- your webcam settings in the chat program
