Head over to support.dell.com

Click on product support.  Either enter your service tag, or your model number and it will take you to some basic information on your PC.

Click on drivers and downloads, locate your audio driver, download and install.

If that doesn't fix it, try the speakers on another computer to ensure they're working properly.  Also, if possible try a set of known good speakers and see if that works on the computer.  This will help you figure out which piece of the puzzle isn't working.

No Sound from speaker or the computer. \r\n

well if no sound is coming out then first you just check wire connection properly. and when everything is ok then just check for the driver .. sound driver is properly installed or not.. you can do this in control panel then device manager. now if you see driver is not installed then go online search driver .. for your sound card,, thatsit.. your problem will get solved .. :D

If everything is grayed out in the audio devices property in the control panel, that means there's a problem with your audio driver, first step I would take is to reboot your machine, hopefully it will come back.

If that fails, most Dell computers come with a Application CD, put the CD in the CD rom drive and have it reload the audio drivers back in.

Also make sure your speakers are plugged into the green port on back of your computer
