Question about HP Jornada 548 Pocket PC

Open Question

Time off by one hour

When daylight savings time happens, my appointments on my 548 are an hour off, that is, my desktop (Outlook) the time for an appointment is 8am, but on the 548 it is 9am. I've done a hard restart and synced to PC and the result is the same that is, the appointments on my 548 are off by an hour. Please note, the time is also off by an hour on the 548. Even when I switch the time to the correct time and re-sync to my desktop (forcing to update info on the 548 from my desktop), the situation is still the same that is, in the 548, the appointments are off by an hour and the clock resets itself (again) to an hour ahead.

SOURCE: Unresolved Items when synching

Try the following.... Open Active sync on your PC. Double Click on Calendar. Change the settings such that it syncs only 0 past and 0 future appointments. SYNC (this will clear all calendar items on the IPAQ) Now go back in to those Calendar settings, and set it back to the default which is 2 past weeks and All Future appointments. SYNC (this will now reload all appointments into your Ipaq)

SOURCE: IPaq keeps moving appointment times

the ipaq automatically adjusts for daylight savings but the PC does not. On your PC double click on clock, click on Time Zone tab and then on that screen you will see the box that needs to be checked. also check that both PC and IPAQ are set to same time-zones.

SOURCE: sync problem w/outlook contact

I use my 548 to keep my work and home versions of Outlook syncronised. I have about 70 contacts stored. Three suggestions.. 1) Do you have enough free memory? Emails can take up megabytes, and for that reason I choose not to sync emails. 2) Are all of your contacts in the same Contacts folder? I have two contacts folders on my home Outlook, one for me and one for my wife, I only sync my contacts to my 548. 3) In Activesync, click on Options, Sync options, contacts, settings and make sure that "Syncronize all contacts" is checked

SOURCE: Problem synching after Daylight Savings Time

I have this problem too. The only way I can correct it, is by removing the battery, reinstalling it and letting it boot up again. Then I plug into the USB port for iPAQ and it seems to connect to ActiveSync. It's a real pain.

Palm Treo synchronize calendar daylight savings time

You need to go to your phone carrier support page, or to Palm.com and download the daylight savings time update.  You SHOULD keep network time checked unless you don't want to pull the proper time from your carrier, such as when you are out of town.

The clock on either your Jornada or the desktop PC is set wrong. Either one of them is in the wrong time zone, or more likely, one of them is not set to compensate for daylight savings time. Good luck,
