Question about RCA D52W20 52" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
Connected to directv hd, 1080 res, was on a std channel at time i used the auto convergence button, the red and blue manual work and all options work, now when i put it on hd channel blur in top left corner, in 480p all channels look good, 1080 res on hd receiver has the blur in all channels, tried and set manually red and blue convergence didn't help at all. wish i would never have touch auto convergence any suggestions
The itc222 has been a problem child in this area. the standard resolution channels your analog channel are converge differently from your hd or digital channels. does autoconvergence work on analog channels.. I am suspecting that what is needed is what is called service convegence. a technician needs to get into special factory mode when in hd and manually coverge it. I would not recommend a non tech doing this. i do it all the time and have spent hours converging this set.

You may have to clean the crt's and lenses and the mirror. Unit may need total convergence from the service menu. If image is blurred in only one area like the corner I would suggest NOT to adjust the electrical or mechanical focus.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
