Re: no audio from speakers

With other models (I don't know about the 6515) there's a known hardware issue with the switch in the headphone jack sticking, getting bent, or breaking. One discussion at: http://www.ipaqhq.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12999&highlight=sound If the phone ringer is on the same circuit as the rest of audio, then that would not be the explanation. But I can also imagine the ringer being a separate circuit. Good luck.

uninstall and re-download WMP? sounds like a reasonable solution... but I have an HTC (and we don't have those problems) lol.

Songs playing but its mute, incoming calls not ringing

you can check if you speaker is broken by using a set of headphones. if you don't hear sound when using your headphones there is something wrong with your software settings. if you do hear sounds using your headphones you need to replace your speaker. You can buy a replacement speaker on ebay and do this yourself, of search for someone to do if for you. If you still have warranty on your phone just return it to the shop that sold the phone.

Speaker on g1 phone stopped working

Well first of, there is your warranty, but if your phone breaks after expirations, there is both an T-Mobile G1 Repair Guide and a third party T-Mobile G1 Repair Service, so there is no need to worry.

No speaker no sound on my treo

I had to have my Treo swapped once already because of a problem with the headset jack. The same problem is happening now - the phone always thinks the headset is plugged in (even when it isn't). That results in phone ringing (unless on virbate / silent mode) but no audio through the speaker in the back, and no speakphone icon appearing.

Given the symptoms you describe I would go to your service provider and (hopefully) get support under warranty - very likely hardware related.

Get the mobile to service center, no other way. My friends mobile speaker also stopped working, on giving to service center they repaired in just few minutes. May be some loose connection inside it.

T-mobile Wing speaker problem

I had this happen after around 14 months of usage. Mind you, I changed the registry value in the first week I had it so that the speaker volume was increased to a hearable level, so perhaps I just burned out the speaker after having it on high for so long.
Anyway, I went ahead and bought the replacement part (HTC Wing P4350 Loud speaker ringer buzzer parts OEM USA) from eBay for US$8 including shipping, and I put it in the other week and it worked fine! I was so happy! You need the appropriate star mini screwdriver (my friend had one), and you undo the four screws after taking off the battery cover and battery. Plus you need to be Ok with unscrewing through that little Void sticker on one of the screws. After that, the enclosure where the speaker is will lift out, and the speaker itself will come out as well, it just sits in there connecting with the contacts on the board. Anyhow, I took my old one out, plopped the new one in, and put it back together. Turned it on, and voila! My speaker was working again.
In case it helps, when mine went out I noticed some crackling coming from it off and on for about a day before, and then on the day it went out the crackling was loud and distorted the music I was playing. After a couple of minutes it stopped playing altogether, restarts didn't help.
At least this problem is fixable, but first determine whether it is the speaker or a driver issue. Try to play a file in Windows Media Player - if it looks like it's playing, and there is no sound (and the Windows Media Player sound is turned up AND your phone volume is turned up), then it's most likely your speaker. Good news, you can fix it. Good luck!

Phone rings but when answered the caller can not be heard.

Your ear speaker is bad. You may need to replace it.. This one made by HTC. You can check on Ebay for replacement part. Other issue could be is the hardware part of the ear speaker may be broken or defected will cause loosing contact with the main circuit or you can say it is short. Only solution is open the phone and check for that area to see for any defective.

Speaker Phone not working

It is simple. Mine did the same. All I did was replace the speaker! it is now working ! This seems to be a common problem. An advice I got to minimize the chances of this happening again was to try to not to put at max volume and minimize the use of sound on screen touches etc...?If thes can be turned off it would be better.. so they say .:O)

Main speaker not working

Just press and hold the "phone" green buttom for about 2 seconds. The main speaker is enabled. The same procedure works when during a phone call, to enable a hands-free operation, or when listening to windows media player.
