Prehaps the problem might be the graphics card on its way out.

Windows 7 hangs on start up

Try disabling startup programs. Go to Start > Run (search in Win 7) and type MSConfig. In Startup tab, uncheck anything that you don't want Windows to load automatically. It will make Windows boot faster and use less resources while running. This just disables them in startup. Programs will still load, but when only you initiate.

No date option means the drive is not being monitored for restore. Right click My Computer > Properties and enable.

Monitor troubling by changing the menu settings by itself

If the monitor only displays 640x480 & 16 colors, it sounds like the display adapter is using standard windows svga drivers. (Unless you have a VERY old monitor that can't display more than that.) Have you tried reinstalling the drivers that came with your video card ?

Click on "start", then "Run".
type in "msconfig" (no quotation marks)
It should open the system configuration-thingy.
If it is set to anything other than "normal startup" (ie diagnostic startup), change it back to "normal startup". Click "apply", "ok", and then restart your computer. You will hopefully be able to change your settings again.

If everything fails change your video card

Thanks. If this solution works for you then please rate me.

THE ONBOARD VIDEO DOESNT WORK HOW DO I DISABLE IT, WITHOUT GOING INTO THE BIOS CUZ CANT GET MONITOR TO WORK WITH COMPUTER

You might be able to boot Windows in Safe mode (F5 at startup). In this mode WIndows uses a basic VGA driver. From there you can change the video driver to the appropriate one for your monitor. If you are unable to see video even before Windows startup, you may need to check the monitor on another computer to be sure it's working properly.

Computer

U need to check that the power supply and power switch is working.
If everything is working properly, suspect no video output send to monitor resulting the monitor is in sleep mode. U can try switch to integrated display of clear CMOS.

Monitor problem

This means the output from the computer is running at a higher resoloution then the monitor can support.'
Try this:
  1. Start the computer
  2. When the bois page vanishes, start pressing F8
  3. You will get a Windows Startup options page
  4. If instead you see the Windows Logo screen, just hit reset and try again.
  5. On the options page select "Safe Mode" press enter twice
  6. When Windows has loaded, right click on the desktop and select "Desplay Properties" Another window will pop up.
  7. Select Display Properties on the last tab at the top of this window.
  8. There will be a slider on the left side near the bottom, slide it left to about 800x600, press Apply then OK.
  9. Restart Windows
That should solve the issue =)
