Hi nati662992,

pps files are Microsoft PowerPoint slideshows.

Because Powerpoint is part of the Microsoft Office package, you would think that you would have to purchase Microsoft Office to view .pps files. This is not so. You can download the free PowerPoint viewer from here:

http://www.download.com/PowerPoint-Viewer-2007/3000-18483_4-10742145.html

Install that and reboot.
Then open the email again and it will automatically open with Powerpoint Viewer. Or it will ask you what program you want to open it with, and you click the PowerPoint Viewer .exe icon, and tick the 'Always open with this Program?' box.

Good Luck and Season's Greetings to you!

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Any email file I receive that has a pps attachment I cannot open

Ill ask the obvious first, do you have Microsoft Powerpoint installed? If you dont, you can download a free PPS viewer. Just Google "PPS Viewer" , download and install it. If you do have PowerPoint, then try saving the pps file to your computer locally and try opening it? Please always post your questions with as much details as you can. What email client are you using? Gmail, Yahoo, Thunderbird, Outlook, Outlook Express, Windows Mail, etc. Its hard to answer questions with hardly any info. Thanks!

I have been told that the samsung tocca can read powerpoint presentation documents, but when I sent one to my phone and tried to open it I got a message appear saying unsupported file type please advise

It should be working directly with no other soft but... maybe too large files maybe something else. Try with own, short, without graphics pps. My F480 reads pps with no problem but not too large files. When presentation file got megabytes F480 doesn't want to read. Maybe he is lazy... ;)

Right click the file, select properties. On the general tab, click Change (next to Open With). Hit the browse button and navigate to your PowerPoint installation and that should fix it. :)
