Make sure the lamp connector in the projector has not been pushed in as I have seen this happen on a couple of LP540 and LP640 projectors. If the connector is pushed in the connector on the lamp will not make contact and strike the lamp.
Hi my name is mani.i have hyline hd 66 projector..when I turn onn it has a very transparent or light brown spot in middle of the screen it dosent blocks the image.but colors are very light in that area..what causes that problem can anyone help me with this plzzzz.i would really appreciate it.
You probably just have to change the bulb n the lamp, if it has been over 5 years since that has been done, I would recommend it, as it will greatly improve the quality of picture coming from the projector
this could have more than one cause, but the most obvious is a burn-in on the lens or dust on the lamp. either way it has to be replaced by a professional.
From your description, it sounds like a problem with the blue color. Green LCD=purple onscreen, Red=cyan(baby blue) onscreen, Blue LCD=yellow onscreen. It could be a lot of dust on the blue lcd panel, or worse, might be a burned polarizer filter behind the lcd panel due to excessive heat. If you can focus on the yellow and its tons of yellow specs, its dust. A burned filter however, must be replaced. A technician trained in projectors will have to do it. The filter material is glued to a thin glass panel and is replaced as a single filter. It's a very involved repair.
The pink tint produced by my LP70+ projector was not a lamp issue but a connectivity issue. I swapped the old cable with a good known cable and the tint went away.
