hi.my name is patrick im from Romania and i receve from a friend from USA a SONY sistem HCD BC150 and i want to know what is the range power.In Romania electricity is 220V in states is 110V.Inside of the sistem is writing something about 245V max voltage on the dash board can i put him on 220V ? Or i have to find somethig to reduce the power from 220V at 110V? Please help me.this is my maill adress chirca_petrica@yahoo.com Thank very much,and have a nice day

- there is no swich on the rear :( so what can i do ?

- inside on the electrical board is writing something about 245V but it is a fuse now i see better what it is.At the end of power cord it's not an transformator the source is in comutation....

- on the label is : AC:110V 60Hz 100W nothing else

Please check Input Voltage 110 ~ 240 volts AC at rear or bottm side of unit. If same is written there, its Auto Voltage Operatable and can be use on 220Volts.

- I didn't said to find any switch there. There would be label with above information written on it. If label has info about Input voltage 110~240 volt ac, it can be plug in 220volt line.

- ok, Don't plug it in 220 volts.. use Step-Down Transformer having input 220 volt and output 110 volt to power up this unit.
If you plug it directly in 220volt ac, its power supply will blown and unit will dead immediately.

get a step down tranformer with a max. power of 500w 220 input 110 output. just plug your equipment at the transformer.
and that will work.
