Unfortunately I have the same problem.

I have copied some mp3 audiobooks to my sansa 250m, and I can hear them well. When I decided to remove them using my PC, I just cant find them.

    Now that is puzzling...

I think I found a solution to that.

The sansa has 2 USB connection mode.
Old: MSC and Newer: MTC.
When it is configured to use auto connection, it will use the MTC if it possible.
When it is in the MTC mode, I can;t see all files.
I go to the Menu=>Settings=>USB and picked the MSC option.

When I reconnected my device I could see a new directory: "Audible" and in it found my files.

Hope it will help

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

How to remove music from sansa m250 that is no longer on computer

ok, plug the mp3 into your computer, click on my computer, then where it says removable devices you should see your mp3 listed, double click it. browse the folders listed until you find the songs that you want to delete , when you find one you want gone RIGHT click it then click delete/ It should then remove the song from your mp3 and put it into your recycling bin.

Try doing a hard reset on a Sansa m250:
  1. Turn off the Sansa. Just pull the battery out for a second and then reinstalling the battery without pushing any further buttons.
  2. Plug the Sansa into a computer4.gif, and open "My Documents" in the computer.
  3. Open the Sansa file as if it were a drive, then go to the "MUSIC4.gif Specific storage" file.
  4. Right click the "MUSIC Specific storage" file, and press "Format."
This should hard reset the Sansa m250. This solution has worked for me.
I do not know if this will work on other Sansa m200 type .mp3 players.

Not enough space to listen

If it''s any consolation, the same thing happened to me after I loaded about 1.6 GB (~250 MB left) of music on my Sansa m250. I tried to delete the required 8MB, but the directory structure got destroyed to the point where my computer wouldn''t recognize the device. I called their technical support and they''re having me send it back to them for a replacement! It''s not you, but the player! I don''t know if there''s anything that can be done from a consumer standpoint.
