Question about Samson AirLine Guitar - Wireless System Microphone

1 Answer

Actually my problem is with Stage 5 wireless system; all of a sudden the signal sounds overloaded but it doesn't reach even half the range. I used to play with a Music man Sting ray 5 and a Behringer Ultrabass BX450H and everything was ok. What has happened? What can I do?
Thancks a lot for every help you can give me.

Lino, Italy.

I had to buy a new power adapter for my stage 5h wireless system. When I plug it in, the power LED flashes. Is that what it is suppose to do? I can't get it to work at with the new adapter.

No it shouldn't flash. Did you buy the manufacturers own power adapter or did you just buy a universal one?
If you bought a universal it could be that you have the wrong polarity (+ve and -ve the wrong way round)

Mic has a small bus mixer hook up it reads on the level of the mixer but no sound comes out of the speakers?

So the mike works but the interface from the microphone amp to the subsequent unnamed electronics isn't working or set up right.

We might want to look at the mixer or beyond for the solution.

I get bad interference on my mic when in a small room or a room with low ceilings. Both meters have all lights lit, all all times.

First solution is to lower your gain setting, lower it down all the way till all signal fades then start from there. In your eq settings, filter out all frfequencies below 80 that will eliminate alot of sensitivity. Lastly try not to fidget with your hands too much, or swing the mic around. And as always, check your feed wiring. Especialy if your reciever runs stereo into the pa

I bought the Samson AP1 to use it on my bass guitar. But about five months later the AP1B newer model came out. The B for AP1B is stand for bass. My reaction was oh great!! now I'm thinking that i might of...

The AP1B was designed for the Bass as it gave a lower end signal responce the unit was designed to be intergrated into the effects pedal set up or into the bass itself .. the main difference is in the signal sent has a wider frequency on the bottom now discontinued. according to their site..

Can you change the operating frequency of a Samson

No, the Stage 5 series are fixed-frequency units. They come in a variety of channels (the new 200Mhz range model has 28 different ones) but they're factory-set, and not programmable, so the frequency you pick when you buy one is the frequency you're stuck with.

Samson CR77 receiver and AF1 transmitter. The CR77 receiver swaps antennas during reception even at close range and there is an audible 'pop' when it swaps.

There are two receivers and are used as "diversity" reception. That is, the strongest signal receiver output is used. As you move around, due to cancellation and reflections it is common for the diversity system to swap receivers. This is normal... HOWEVER there should not be a poplwhen it does this. You might experiment with the squelch level to improve performance. There is a possibilty there is a defect in your unit and repair would be beyond the capabilty and equipment you would have to troubleshoot the problem.

ONE thing is make sure the audio levels are turn up so the level is "not down in the noise" or in other words you have a good signal-to-noise ratio.
