Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly. The manuals are free and available on the web. You will need both your complete model number and serial number to obtain a downloadable pdf copy of your Owner's Manual.
Mantis has the owners manuals in pdf format available for download on its website. The tillers are here (I hope the link to the tiller group works...if not, just go to the main site and look for "owners manuals" link.
Also, you can call a number and get a representative who usually can help at the numbers listed there, find authorized service people if its not something you can do yourself, order parts and find detailed schematics in the owners manuals. My dog actually ate mine. LOL. But they are free, the owners manuals, unlike other places that charge you for them like they were a "part".
my 17 in dual tine tiller fouls up the air filter with oil and the spark plug. The prefilter, I can't tell if I put it in backwards or not. Also, the manual says to "fill the oil reservoir almost to overflowing." I don't believe that was right, because I am not sure if that is the reason oil is entering the filter box or not, but I am not going to do that again. I don't know how much oil to add, but it certainly won't be to overflow level. I am going to reverse the prefilter(screen/foam) in the filter chamber and pray that the oil does not foul up the spark plug and filter chamber again. Does anyone agree or disagree?
