My grandson was given a used batman computer but does not know the password (mission code). Is there any way to reset it?

the mission code is not a password its the activity code. Look on the front panel for the activity you want to play such as BAT12

Each game on the laptop has its own password and that is simply the "mission code" for a game on the laptop. So you just need to enter one of the many "mission codes" and they are listed on the areas around the viewing screen. For instance, BAT01 is for the word seek game; BAT02 is for the decode game...BAT07 is for addition, BAT24 is for the melody machine, etc. Then you can press "main menu" to play another game.

I think you know the first thing you did wrong!
Try booting into safe mode using the F8 key on startup and then do a system restore back to before your grandson visited. You could also choose "boot to last known good configuration"
Then password protect the computer and don't let him know what it is!

I have had a similar problem on a few games, Make a new user ( control panel / users), i called mine games, then run all your games from there, this sorted out my save game problems with COD and batman

you can stop this by clicking forgot password then they will send ur grandson,s email a confirmation code that u will put in the box given.and by doing so the hacker may be stopped due to change in password
