Sounds like a lens error problem. Lens errors are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. Or the battery ran down with the lens extended ... Here are some troubleshooting steps that you can try that may (or may not) correct it. They only seem to work for less than 40% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty (or repair cost approaches that of the camera), they're worth that try. Some of the later steps do involve some risk to the camera, so carefully weigh your options before deciding to conduct them:

My Kodak EasyShare M530 will not turn on, and it is making buzzing noises when I try to turn it on.

its a lens jammed issue. Noise came from lens area. Use air on the lens area for cleaning the dust and then try. If required then trust it in other hand little bit. Not too harder.

My kodak easyshare m530 digital camera can't Autofocus

The lens needs to be taken apart cleaned and lubricated, overtime they build up dirt and grime causing the gears to become stiff, the only solution is dismantle the lens and clean it until spotless. If a camera specialtist gets in involved it will be expensive.

Camera will not turn ON. I changed the batteries but still no change.

Things to check first for a camera that won't turn on are battery contact points, and micro switches that are located on the battery and memory card doors. Troubleshooting tips on other things that need to be checked may be seen here. These tips won't work for every case, but they're worth a try.

The camera was on/lens out when my son dropped the camera. Since then when I try to turn it on it opens but immediately closes. Any ideas?

This is a long shot, remove battery and the memory card, press power and hold for 30 seconds to drain off any residual charge. Now put the battery and memory card back in and press power, if it works the camera has managed to reset itself, if this fails probably cheaper to replace it.

I have the same problem here.

The batteries need to be changed. They run down very fast, especially if you have a movable lens. Try getting the 2400 rechargable batteries by duracell, they've lasted the longest by far in my digital camera
