To get the resolution to the way you should first you need to go onto controll pannel, next click on display, after that click on settings, then you need to change the amount of pixels to 1024 by 768 pixels then click on apply then of. Then on the monitor it should all be working fine.

I have a LG Flatron EW224 computer monitor. It was working great but one day the screen went blank and reads in the center of screen: D-Sub out of range 68.5Khz/85Hz. Does anyone know how to correct this...

This is usually due to your computer Video resolution being set to a setting out of the supported range of your monitor, Lowering the computer video resolution should solve this issue.

Resolution is bad.

My guess is you running win xp or vista its pretty much the same.
Here is a good site there shows you to change the resolution
on your screen:

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/setup/personalize/resolution.mspx

Try also to upgrade your graphic driver you get a better picture if
you do that.

Hope this was helpfull.

Not able to use full screen

Hello,
This sounds like bad resolution is set on your computer. The LG 22" FLATRON monitor has a native resolution of 1680 x 1050. However, your video card may not support this so you can also try any other 16:10 resolution like 1440 x 900.

To change your resolution in Windows XP:
1. Access the Control Panel.
2. Choose "Display".
3. Click the "Settings" tab.
4. Under "Screen resolution" move the slider to a 16:10 resolution like 1680 x 1050 or 1440 x 900.

If you computer does not support higher resolutions, you may consider replacing your video card to take full advantage of your nice 22" Flatron monitor.

If I can further assist you, please let me know.

Regards,
KYTechnology

I am using my Flatron L1715S to extend my laptop. The laptop is set at 1280 x 1024 and the can and has in the past run at this resolution. But since updating my laptop video driver, the Flatron will only...

Assuming it is an intel graphics solution, right click on the desktop, and navigate through the intel menu until you reach "Extend My Display" and choose the external, not "Clone". As an alternative, install the old drivers.

I have a LG Flatron W2242p monitor. What should I set the screen resolution setting to?

1680 x 1050 is the highest resolution that this monitor can support.

Go through my published guide entitled How to set your Desktop Screen Resolution?

Set your Resolution to 1680 x 1050 as this will give you the sharpest image.

Thanks

LG Flatron W2053TX resolution issue

Make sure the video drivers are installed for your video card. If they are not installed, you won't be able to change the resolutions properly. Go into the device manager and make sure the video is installed and not just a yellow question mark that says VGA compatible driver.

If you get back to me I'll lead you to the right driver.

Flatron w2043s 20" there is distortion on all letters and numbers etc, its as if its ran out of ink ,spoils the picture big time

The distortion mostly is caused by a wrong screen resolution. Choose another (smaller or larger) resolution and once you've found the correct resolution for your display card tne distortion will be gone.

How can I make fonts look good in an LCD monitor ?

The VGA connection should be fine; I have DVI and when I switched from analog, the difference was pretty minimal, to my eyes.

Is it just the fonts that are blurry, or everything? If fonts only, then this almost certainly suggests that running the ClearType tuner again would solve the problem. But this applies to all displays, so if one is good and the other is not, then this isn't it.

If everything is a little blurry, then this suggests one of two problems -- the first, you report trying, which is that the display adapter is set to a different resolution than the native resolution of the LCD monitor itself. Your display adapter should probably be able to drive 2 monitors (the built-in laptop monitor and the external monitor) at once. You should be able to set their resolutions separately.

Assuming Windows XP: Start > Control Panel > Display > Settings > at which point, you should see two monitors listed in a dropdown. Set them to their native resolutions there (using the slider bar, usually all the way to the right), and save.

If you do have the display resolutions set to their native resolutions for both monitors, then it's possible that your external monitor is messed up. A quick test would be to run the on-screen settings, usually from a button on the monitor itself. If what is displayed there is sharp and what is displayed from Windows is not, then this points to a problem with the display driver. If everything, even the on-screen display is blurry, then perhaps the monitor settings are messed up -- usually there's an option to restore to factory settings -- try that.

If that doesn't work, I'm probably out of ideas, unless you have further information.

Cant get 1280x1024 when connected to laptop

the only way you may get it to work is if you use the monitor a secondary device and also use the notebook monitor as well. But the problem may also be the vga connector converting the signal, as you may have to have a DVI connection on your monitor to obtain widescreen resolutions.
