This computer has been fixed numerous times each time costing 200$+ I got this computer around 2-3 years ago and have lost most of the cds for it. I need a way to completly restore the computer deleting most of the files. By the way The computer used to be able to play a couple of 3d games and such without it stopping now i can't play any games and it says something like a data dump

You could boot to your Windows CD and select "R" for repair installation when that option screen appears after files are loaded.
Please let us know if you need instruction on booting to the Windows CD or anything else?
Good luck.

Boot to the Windows XP CD?, then delete the partition that windows is on and create a new partition. Then after pressing the enter key to "Install Windows" on that partition when you are at the format screen choose "NTFS Normal" and not "NTFS Quick" for the format option, then you may continue to install Windows. The above will format/erase the harddrive, and then you can preform a "Clean Install".
The above should get your PC running 3D games again, hopefully. Good luck.

What can I do to rescue data deleted by pressing "Shift+ Delete" on Windows 7?

Using Shift+Delete to remove files/folders bypasses the recycle bin which is your normal means of recovering accidentally deleted files. You can go to download.com and search for file recovery programs. Some are available that will search your hard drive and can maybe recover what you lost. It is important to do so as quickly as possible because once files are permanently deleted on the hard drive, the sectors that they occupied are no longer protected and can be overwritten by any program or file.

Accidentally deleted system volume information folder in HDD

You need to remove the hard drive from your laptop and connect it to an USB hard drive adapter.
You need access to a computer that has Internet access then download and instal the Recuva program.

Recuva (pronounced "recover") is a freeware Windows utility to restore files that have been accidentally deleted from your computer. This includes files emptied from the Recycle bin as well as images and other files that have been deleted by user error from digital camera memory cards or MP3 players. It will even bring back files that have been deleted from your iPod, or by bugs, crashes and viruses!
  • Put the memory card into an USB card reader and plug it into the USB port in your computer, then run the Recuva program.
  • Simple to use interface - just click 'Scan' and choose the files you want to recover
  • Easy to use filter for results based on file name/type
  • Simple Windows like interface with List and Tree view
  • Can be run from a USB thumb drive
  • Restores all types of files, office documents, images, video, music, email, anything.
  • Supports FAT12, FAT16, FAT32, exFAT, NTFS, NTFS5 , NTFS + EFS file systems
  • Restores files from removable media (SmartMedia, Secure Digital, MemoryStick, Digital cameras, Floppy disks, Jazz Disks, Sony Memory Sticks, Compact Flash cards, Smart Media Cards, Secure Digital Cards, etc.)
  • Restores files from external ZIP drives, Firewire and USB Hard drives
  • It's fast, tiny and takes seconds to run!
Go to these WEB sites to down Recuva http://download.cnet.com/Recuva/3000-2242_4-10753287.html www.filehippo.com/download_recuva
After installing this program plug the USB adapter and hard drive into the USB port of this computer and run the Recuva program on the USB hard drive to recover your files and backup your files.

You may need to reinstall Windows on your laptop after you install the hard drive back into the laptop.

Recover deleted files from my laptop

Hello, Don't worry. You can rely on this photo recovery software (also recover audio and video files); it can help you recover your lost pictures from your Samsung Digital Camera (or SD card):
Photo Recovery for Windows Users

Photo Recovery for Mac Users
http://www.uflysoft.com/photo-recovery-mac/
By the way: Before your pictures are retrieved, do not save more files to the device (or memory card) in case the original files (your pictures) are overwritten.
Best wishes!

Win 32 application error

Hello bigk157,

This may be happening due to a virus infection. Do a search for win32 virus on Google and you'll see what I mean. Try downloading a program like Malware Byte's Anti-Malware or Super Anti-Spyware and running a FULL (not quick scan, have some patience as it may take a while) scan on your computer. Follow prompts and remove infected files. You may end up removing an important win32 file windows needs to run, but since its been compromised you'll have to delete it. You can restore it and other system files by doing a "Repair Install" from your Windows Installation disc. You can find instructions on how to perform a Repair Install by searching on Google.

Note: Not a "Recovery Console" repair by pressing "R" before continuing with windows installation. Sometime these two things get confused for one another.

Hope this helps, if so leave me some positive feedback. Thank you.

you can use easy recovery profesional to recover the lost files. or use any other 3rd party tool to recover the files

www.ontrackdatarecovery.com/file-recovery-software you can use this link to download the software

you can also try alternatively

Stop using the computer
Do not install any new software or save any new data after file deletion
Do not try to run the system utilities such as Defragmenters and volume repair utilities
Do not run CHKDSK
Do not attempt to format the drive or change the partitions
Download and install the trial version of Disk Doctors Undelete on a healthy machine and connect the hard drive containing deleted files as a secondary drive and test run the program to see if your deleted files are found
If yes, then proceed ahead recovering your deleted files.
