I have a Toshiba 57H81 and have figured out that it is having red convergence issues that I believe i can fix myself (got the TV for free and I like to tinker) however I cannot find which STK part numbers i need to replace in order to fix it. Am I right in saying that there is only two that need to be replace if the red is the only color that is ghosting? I appreciate any help.
I replaced both stk units in my 50H60 with ebay items but I'm stillhaving issues. One is label V and the other H, I assume Vertical andHorizontal? If this is the case, I replace the one and it fixed nothingso I replaced the other and it seems a tiny bit better.
If youare looking at text on the screen and the letters seem to repeat leftto right; Blue Green Red overlapping slightly, would this be a VerticalIC problem or Horizontal? I can justify how it could be either but I'mnot sure.
Also the entire screen seems to be shifted to the right about an inch, if that helps at all.

P.S. sorry I posted as a solution, I'm new to this site
They have a repair kit that repairs the convergence Issue with your set at the following link that has free installation instructiona as well as the resistors and ICs. Careful about Buying ICs off ebay, as you will end up getting knock off ICs and most times they are defective inferior ICs.Heres a link where you can get quality parts.

I used the ebay kit and it worked great for about two days. Earlier today I turned it on to show my brother and it worked still but when I put it in it's final resting place with all of the cables connected and plugged it in for what I thought would be the last time I heard it arc inside the plug... I turned the TV on and the light was flashing again!!
So just to cause the TV to have a known fault I unplugged the lead running to the green tube, turned it on, then unplugged it, put the green tube lead back, plugged in the set and and turned the TV back on to find the green was going WAY out of convergance (to the left down I think) and coming back in repeatedly. I then turned the TV back off and then back on and it was blinking again...
Is it possibly a resistor being bad that is causing this power surge destroying the IC's? It's still only a $30 TV so if I have to buy a resistor and two more IC's I really wouldn't care. Thanks!
