My Pioneer Elite 610 Pro HD has recently gone dark. The red standby light stays on but the unit itself does not power on at all. No image. That said...I know for a fact that my kids have left the TV on but with no A/V source going to it overnight on numerous occasions over the years and the colors have run really hot in order to get a nice, crisp picture (I know, I know...first mistake). I'm wondering the following: A: I assume I need a new bulb, yes? B: Is it a tough job to replace the bulb? (I was a Pro A/V tech for years but transitioned into live concert production many years ago. I'm confident I can handle it though) C: Is it even worth it to replace it? D: If so....where can I locate a replacement bulb? Any help is apprecaited. Thanks in advance! ~ Chris

SOURCE: Pioneer Elite PRO-520HD wont stay on

It is most likely just solder connections on your power supply. If the only diag LED that lights is on the supply, then thats usually the case. You can unplug the set and remove the supply to fix it with a little soldering. You have to remove the metal board supporter from the bottom of the board and solder quite a few connections. Look for cracked connections on the power connectors to the rest of the set, and also connections on the main transformer. If you need soldering experience, get a kit at radio shack and build a little project to get some practice.

SOURCE: i need a red green blue light bulbs for my pioneer

I suspect you're asking about the projection tubes. They don't all go out at the same time, there is some other problem. Also consider, you can almost buy a new TV for the cost of the tubes. I really expect you'll find the right answer in your owners manual. Look into the advanced settings.

Pioneer Elite Pro-1139 HD Tv has no picture but has audio. Red standby light is blinking 10 times then pauses.

Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement.

Pioneer Elite 1140 HD not working : reds light blinks 4 times

Four blinks of standby light to Plasma TVs, denotes a voltage output failure from its main power regulator board. Check this link for more. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Pull up older posts there. Blinking codes to most Plasma TV brands will be similar. Check them. Pioneer brand is also there.

Elite pro 610-hd, shuts off after only about 10-15min of play, light snap and done.

sounds like you have in intermittent short at one of the picture tubes. Probably a small hole in the bell housing of one of the picture tubes that arcs to ground once the high voltage reaches a certain level, then arcs to ground & shuts the TV off. Not cheap to repair. Probably will cost about $500

Pioneer Elite Pro 620 HD TV on several occasions the screen has gone black but sound continues and the power green libht remains on. After shutting down for 10-15 minutes picture comes back.

Pioneer Elite Pro rear projection 620HD - Picture is still there but brightness and "white" have faded over years allowing for mediocre viewing when room is dark only. During the daylight picture is visible if viewed straight on and within 15 feet from set. Any suggestions?

Pioneer elite pro 100

My set is doing the same thing again. The last time I fixed this (4 years ago) it was a capacitor gone bad in the power supply for the 24v standby circuit. (C166)
The service manuals can be ordered directly from Pioneer Part Number ARP3014 for Pro-100 model.
