It actually should be read as "No Disc", as in it does not recognize the DVD you have inserted. There are DVD+R & DVD-R Your recorder may only recognize one type.

Disc loading mechanism fault. The disc do not seat properly inside it. Might be due to a loose loading belt problem. Anyway, you have to take out the mechansm from the device for repair. Contact any service technician. Gopakumar Gopalan Google

TMPGEnc Xpress Filter for DVD-VR

Download link for Trial Version HERE retail cost $99.95

If you scan source a DVD-VR using this excellent program and you have selected the over 4 hours record opur DVD-VR most will default from the standard DVD resolution of 720x576 (aka FULL-D1) to 365x576(aka HALF-D1) this is to allow for the extra MPG2 to be recorded on the DVD, the bitrate will also be lowered to about 2,100kbps ( the standard for DVD is over 8,000kbps)

Use this filter to convert the scanned Half-D1 to an approximation of Full-D1 works everytime, download the archive and unzip run the batch file it will install the filter for you you will need select it from the Custom Templates Folder to use it any half-D1 DVD-VR will now be sucessfully encoded using TMPGEnc v4.0 Xpress.

Keep saying loading than just ejects the dvd all types of them

It has problem in dvd loading mechanism which is not load completely and mean while system control IC waits for complete loading signal and than produce eject command.
You need to open top cover and check closely its DVD Loading Mechanism, might be loading belt slips.

Dvd player

Sorry to let you know, but the AVIC D1 does not play movie DVDs. It only has a DVD ROM drive that reads Data DVDs, in other words the navigation DVDs. You will have to add your own DVD Player or a Pioneer DVD Changer to be able to watch movies with the AVIC D1.

Play back

Hello I have the D1 and it can not play DVD's in the DVD Rom slot. It is only for use with the DVD Navigation Discs. To watch DVD's on the AVIC-D1 you need to get the Pioneer DVD Player or DVD Changer and connect it through the IP Bus and AV Bus to control it from the head unit. The other way to watch DVD's on the D1 is to buy any automotive DVD Player, for example Boss, Lanzar, etc. or use a PS2, PS3, or any other Video Game System that plays DVD's and connect it through the RCA AV Video and Audio inputs. I believe that the AVIC-D3 has the ability to play DVD's from the unit. It can also can play DVIX DVD's. Hope this helps.
