Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
My new Brother MFC-6490FC only recognizes 4 Distinctive Ringing tone patterns. The only ring tone my local phone company provides, Long Short, is not recognized by any Brother MFC made in the last 3 years. Brother tells me there's no way to make my machine recognize the Long Short pattern, and my phone company says they can and will not provide any other ring tones for my area. Does anyone know of any way around this empass aside from returning the Brother machine and buying some other lesser brand? I'm having a hard time coughing up $25/month for a direct line for my fax, since I've been paying only $3/month for the distinctive ringing number for the last 8 years which worked just fine on my old Brother MFC fax machine. Thanks, Bob
