Question about Compaq Presario 700 470024-192 Notebook
I have either a Windows XP glitch or Compaq laptop screen problem. I turn on the laptop and have to type in my password. The text in the password box is clear and visible. I then have to log into my system, again, the text in this box is clear. As soon as my desktop is displayed, the text is very blurred and impossible to read unless, as I have already done, I increase the text size, which is a pain when trying to use the web for research, or even using office becomes problematic. I've searched for similar problems but so far have found nothing. I have noticed that my laptop gets very warm whilst if I use it on my lap, which is not that often, and apart from that I have not noticed any other problems. Is there a solution out there?
Perhaps you don't have the correct VGA drivers loaded or the screen resolution is not set to the best for your display!
The first two passwords are more than likely imputed before the system VGA drivers have been loaded!
You shouldn't really use it on your "Lap" hence most manufacturers have changed to the word "Notebook". Your clothes can block the cooling ports (causing over heating) and believe it or not there is a theory that they can give off a type of radiation which would be better off not being in your "Lap"
