I had the same problem. I found solution in its software. Power Cinema 5. Go in settings of TV and then go to signal settings, there enable Timeshift which is disable by default and select apply. I think this is not related to audio but by enabling it I completely get rid out of my prolem. Check it out and please inform me that what happened. My mail is bilalahmad84@gmail.com

Subwoofer makes noise like an untuned TV regardless of volume knob

I would suggest your crossover unit has failed in the speaker cabinet. The crossover circuit board separates the low and high frequency content of your stereos audio signal. The low frequencies go to the bass unit (woofer) and the high frequencies go to the tweeter speaker. If the capacitor on the crossover goes open or near open circuit then noise is introduced into the sound system. Replace either the capacitor or crossover unit.

I have Bose Companion 2 Series ones and the left makes odd noises

> I turn the volume to a low it still has the odd noise
If there is any drive to the speaker at all (volume not turned off), the rattle is probably coming from a broken 'surround;' the part that keeps the cone centered around the outer edge.
Another point of failure is a structure called a 'spider' that is located between the voice coil and cone that ensures the voice coil stays centered.
If there is hum with the volume turned completely down, the amplifier driving the speakers (internal or external) has a failing filter in the power supply.

Noise from headphones

If I am thinking of the right sound go back into your audio mixer and turn down or off the mic pre amp or gain. On mine I have two preamp setting and one gives me a squealing sound if enabled.

Usually is labeled "mic boost 2"

Jl audio 500/1 amp low ohm light at high volume

I would try running the subs in parallel. Pos to Pos Dual Voice, Neg to Neg Dual Voice. Then Run + to + stereo - to - stereo on both channels.
So you have + and - running to one channel and + and - running to the other channel.
Also your LPF filter could be set too high.

Scratching (static) noise coming from computer speakers

I foudn this in anther forum:
I have an ASUS motherboard P5E3 Premium. The audio that came with it was the Sound Max audio. I also noticed abnormal sounds coming from the speakers. They included sounds during hard drive activity and also with mouse movement. They were not loud but noticable. I searched all over the web but didn't find the answer. I stumbled across the fix myself. I also have vista-64. In the sound control panel > speaker properties > levels... there is a pc beep slide bar. I noticed that if it is disabled then the abnormal sound went away completely. Problem solved. Hope this helps.

Whining noise

The problem i had was when i would play my tv. I had it hooked from my dish to the sony then the tv. When i played a dvd,cd or the tuner it didn't make that noise. It seems my video/audio 2 channel was going bad. I disconnected my rca jacks and used the optical audio connection. The noise stopped and i got a better quality sound.

hope this helps
