Did you load the software first? Is your OS compatible with that iPod? I would doublecheck http://www.apple.com/support/ if you have lost the needed software.

You can uncheck the songs on iTunes library first, and then sync iPod with iTunes, the songs will be deleted from your iPod. Or you may try this iTunes alternative, it's easy to delete your iPod songs, videos and photos. http://www.reviewstown.com/itunes-alternative.html
Hope it helps. Feel free to email me if you need further help.
Hi there, When you go into the ipod section on iTunes, click the music tab, make sure 'sync music' is checked and 'selected playlists:' is also, then check the playlist you want to use. Click 'sync' button
If that don't work go back to the summary tab and hit 'restore' and follow the instructions to reset the ipod, resync and all should be fine.
I can not remember where to put the button to listen to my ipod shuffle songs in order.I downloaded a song and have not heard it on my ipod yet. Thanks,Mary
