Why not use the SD card slot on the calculator? Use an SD card formatted in FAT 26 or FAT 32 of not too large capacity, say up to 2 GB. Using a computer, transfer the program on the card and store it at the root of the card: DO not store it inside a folder.
Once the program is on the card, remove the card from the computer and insert it in the SD card slot of the calculator. Turn calculator on and use the file explorer of the calculator.
Press Green Left Shift followed by the APPS key to enact the Files explorer. Navigate to the root of the SD card, copy your program and drop it in one of the three internal memories. IRAM, ERAM or FLASH

Sorry, I am sure you guessed that I meant FAT 16, not FAT 26. Ensure that the batteries are good.

Not built-in (the 48 is a scientific calculator, not a financial calculator). But there are plenty of programs and applications for financial calculations. Some of them are:

I do not think you can. However you can find a simple program in the users manual that solves a linear system in two unkowns. There may be other third party programs you might transfer to the calculator. Check the hpcalc.org website

The 39g uses its own format for notes. If you want to create notes on your computer, you need to use the Aplet Development Kit, available at http://www.hpcalc.org/details.php?id=5217

Conection with PC? -cant turn on calculator in server mode

Hello,
You should get a USB cable.

If you do not want to, get a Secure Digital card (formatted in FAT). Turn calculator ON, Insert card in slot.
Then [LeftShift][FILES] Open the directory where files are. Select them and use the [Copy] soft key to copy files. Got to directory where you want them copied and Copy rhem there. Exit File Manager. Remove Card and insert in SD card slot in computer, etc.

If you install the latest ROM 2.15 (hpcalc.org) the USB transfer option in IO parameters will show.

Hope it helps

Hi,
By the time I discovered this question you probably have built the Golden Gate twice over and The Great Wall of China once.
Rather than looking for someone to program your calculator you should visit the hpcalc.org archives for the HP48G and look for a program or programs that solve the problems you are dealing with.
Here is the link to the Physics and Civil Engineering page.

Hope you find what you are looking for.

Try opening the software on your PC. Set the connection to USB and connect your calc. On the calc press the right shift key followed by the right arrow key.....software should now recognize the calc.
