Question about HP LaserJet 1300 Printer

Wrinkling paper Juat started - no change in paper. As soon as it starts to "think" about printing, you can hear a sound like a piece of paper held in the spokes of a bike. When it prints, the paper comes out wrinkled or jams up all together. No difference with back door open - comes up out of slot all creased.

You have a damaged fuser. Open the back door and look in the slot for the grey film sleeve. Your most likely going to see it torn or ripped up on the edge. If so you need a new fuser or to have your rebuilt.

Was I wrong with this advise? Saw you rated low on my advise and really wish to help you get it resolved. What do you see when your looking through the back door slot? Is the upper roller torn?

Here's a link to the full service manual on your machine.

    http://www.feedroller.com/Store/Service%...

The manual will walk you through the disassembly step by step. Start on page 101. On the top of the page it will refer to numerous other pages for removing the covers and gaining access. Simply walk down the steps. The Fuser exploded diagram that shows all the small parts of the fuser is on page 202. The breakdown is significant but completely do-able for the novice with the manual.

If it's a small peice you need let me know, we may have it as part of inventory. If it's the upper fuser film (grey upper roller sleeve in fuser), your better pulling the sleeve off ebay.

Let me know how you do. :)

I don't see any tear, but there is a piece of broken plastic that I can't get out. I almost had it with a pair of tweezers, but it slipped down inside where the paper comes out. Is there a way to get into there without destroying the printer? Is there an available diagram of how this roller comes apart?

Thanks so much for caring!!!

The paper comes out wrinkled and makes the printing off, doesn't look nice and clean. The machine even sounds different like you can hear it crinkle the papers

You didn't list the make and model but it is safe to bet that your fuser is used up...call your tech support line for your copier since that module needs to be changed out by a trained technician.

Wrinkled Left front corner

Sounds like you have a burr on the paper guide fins. Look for a small nick in the plastic guides fins which can simply be filed smooth with a small file.

Left corner of paper wrinkles when printing

I know several reasons, and they are all related to an obstruction of some sort..whether it be a small piece of paper along the paper path, to something slightly bent, or broken...impossible to say for sure

Xerox Tektronix Phaser 7700 Laser - Wrinkling paper slightly.

Hy the problem is: You have to clean the 2nd BTR and the transfer belt cleaner. There is a large amount of used toner on those things.

Phaser 7700GX Color Printer prints wrinkled pages!

when this occurs the problem is most of the time with the transport roller, fuser / fixing assembly roller.question is the image still toner only and not fused to the paper.
In these areas there is offen a jammed and not removed piece of paper dislodged in the paper path or jammed in the fuser or the transfer rollers teflon coating has perished inspect the areas carefully and remove any found if the unit still is faulty (fanning of paper the fuser would be the first to be replaced are past there usable life) if so then Post a reply

Paper completely wrinkled

NONERIGHTNOW, HP makes great laser printers, the commercial LaserJets typically last 8+ years without much more than an occasional maintenance kit to keep them going. The 1000 series printers are quite another story, they are designed for the low end printer market and just can?t take hard usage over time. The typical culprits with paper wrinkling are heat from the fuser or paper problems. -In the paper tab of the printer driver make sure the correct media is selected. This controls how hot the fuser gets which also causes paper curl/wrinkling. -Buy some fresh HP grade paper, improper humidity, coatings and storage can also cause problems. -Try a new HP cartridge. If you still have no success starts a print job and turn off the printer while the paper is feeding. What you want to do is try to freeze the wrinkling process so we can identify what area is causing it. Post this information. Also open the rear, straight through door; also let us know what happens. Let us know how it goes and please don?t forget to rate this posting.
