Try to fix the problem without taking the laptop apart first but I would recommend using a powerful air compressor instead of a vacuum cleaner.

Welcome to FixYa! Based on the error you have received, this means that the cooling fan of your laptop needs to be cleaned and checked at. This is a common problem with any toshiba laptop. I suggest checking the heatsink of your laptop. If the CPU heatsink is not clogged with dust and lint completely, you can use canned air and just blow it inside the laptop through the openings on the bottom and on the sides. It's nice as a precaution measure, but it might not work if your laptop already has a problem and the heatsink is completely clogged.

  1. Open the laptop case, so you can access the CPU fan and the heatsink. In some cases you can access the heatsink through the latch on the bottom of the laptop. Sometimes (for example Toshiba Satellite A70/A75) you have to open the laptop case all the way down.
  2. Carefully disconnect the fan cables on the system board and remove the fan. If the fan makes unusual sound when it spins (grinding sound), I would recommend to replace the fan.
  3. Clean the fan and the heatsink with compressed air.
  4. I would also recommend removing old thermal grease from the CPU and applying new grease for better heat conductivity.
  5. If your laptop is still under warranty, you can take it to any Toshiba Authorize Service Provider and fix the problem at no charge to you.
Hope this helps! Thank you for using FixYa!

Air bag light has come on in the Hyundai Getz 3 door hatch, ?????? Freaking.

When the airbag warning light comes on it means that the control module for the airbag system has detected a problem in the system and for safety it has turned off the entire system and at the same time turned on the warning light to alert the driver to this. Read your owners manual please, it is all there. You now need to see your local dealer and have them run a code test to see what is causing this light.

System fan cannot be detected in MS 7352 V1.0

Hello here is the homepage:

The bios is set to give a warning when the system fan is not working or goes dead (in this case it probably isn't detected or has gone out). You should be able to get into your bios and look for items such as "processor fan warning: on/off" "system fan warning: on/off...etc. If you turn the system fan warning to off it will resolve the problem you are having. The fan for the cpu, must be connected to the CPU_FAN connector on the mainboard.

If the problem is still there, replace the fan, and renew the thermal paste, between the cpu and the cooling element.
Clean also the pc out for dust, with compressed air.

BE CAREFULL when you work on the mainboard, and please take antistatic precautions.

Visit also a computer repair shop, if working on the mainboard is unfamiliar to you.

Good luck

Hi, I have a new Toshiba Satelite L500 laptop. From the moment I started to work with it, following message began to appear: Warning: A problem with the cooling system has been detected. Please turn off...

first you should install an independent system temperature monitor like speed fan and check if your computer temperature is ok .If the temp is ok then it is not as much of a worry but more of an annoyance if it shows the computer is hot take it back to service immediately either way they should fix the problem under warranty.
I hope this helps Andrew A

Warning comes "cooling system face

Hi. Thanks for your question.
  • Well it seems that you have a cooling problem. It could be caused by many things. This warning may be displayed when system reaches dangerous for components temperature. You can do few things to prevent this from happening.
  1. Make sure laptop is always used on flat surface with it's vent holes not being blocked. People often use their laptops in beds or carpets which causes them to overheat.
  2. Make sure that any vent holes are clear of dust and dirt. If needed use small brush to remove dust. For best results brush + compressed air combination should be used.
  3. If all this isn't case you need to make sure that you can hear fan spinning. This could be a hardware failure and running your laptop like this could lead to permanent damage. ( if your fan isn't running please see this video to get an idea of where it is and how can it be replaced)

System warning pop-up

Are you sure that nothing is overheating? If your cpu fan is turning too slow it won't disipate the heat. Do you have a program showing cpu temp:? I would take the access off the bottom and make sure the cpu fan is clean. If that is not the problem I believe you can turn the warnings off in the bios settings

Wallpaper changed to something blue with yellow and blue dialog

Sounds like an inverter problem. If the power supply is internal replace the capacitors coming out of the voltage regulators. These are usually 1000mf and/or 470mf. If that doesn't do the trick look up the numbers on the 8-pin chips that drive the secondary transformers on the inverter to see if they are getting the right voltages.
Good Luck!
