The browser is getting opened but java applications are not getting opened

First go to your control panel under the start menu and find the Java application. Once open, go to the update tab and click the 'Update Now' button.

After the update is complete, go back to the control panel under the start menu and open the 'Add or Remove Programs' application. Sort the list alphabetically if it is not already and check your java installations. If there is more than one version installed, remove all versions except the newest version.

Next, after checking java installations, go back to the 'Java' application in the control panel under the start menu. On the 'General' tab, click the 'Settings...' button. Click the 'Delete Files' button and confirm the deletion of 'Application and Applets' and 'Trace and Log Files'.

Lastly, in whichever browser you are using, clear all temporary internet files and cookies and close all windows for the browser. Once the browser is restarted, retest your issue.

This fixes most issues that I have run into using Java based applications.

3. If your mobile supports java applications, then you can donwload and use the opera mini java application from the above link.

4. If your mobile not has java capabaility then its not possible to use the java (opera) application.

This phone's native browser is capable of accessing only the WAP sites. But you can seamlessly browse other internet websites by using a small java based opera mini browser. From your mobile go to http://mini.opera.com and download the opera mini java application to your mobile and install it. Then open the opera browser to surf other websites. For this your mobile should support java applications.

You can overwrite the browser by downloading the application (.jar)on to the PC then connecting your phone by USB and then drag and drop the file in the appropriate folder on your phone. Then install the new browser like you normally would. The application will ask you if you'd like to overwrite the old settings --- say yes

The problem is that Java files on the D500 don't the same internet settings that it's inbuilt browser users. So, you need to add these settings again.

From the 'Menu' go to 'Applications' then 'Java world'. Then open the 'Settings' (the 2nd item listed). Now enter the same details that are listed in the inbuilt browser's 'Profile settings'.
