I bought a brand new BT160 online and when I got it, I opened it and plugged it into the charger and the LED flashed blue, but did not stay solid. I left it on the charger for like 3 hours, just in case. I then tried to turn it on and set it to pairing mode, but still no solid LED.

If you can try a different charger, try that. try charging with USB cable if not. Try your charger on another headset if you can. I think the charger is the problem.
If no change every way, here is the link to the user manual if you need it;
Page 7 has the toll-free tech helpline which is probably worth a check in case they have any ideas before opening it up.
If still no luck, and you want to open it up, first thing to look for is the battery. check any connectors are on properly. try charging for a while and see if battery gets warm/hot/no change. See if there are any technical specifications or part numbers written on the battery and I can get more info to see if it can be checked and if it is worth replacing. If you have any trouble identifying the battery, try posting back a photo of the inside and we will see what we can do.
Hope this helps :)
light is suppose to go out after leaving charger. try holding call button down till light goes solid and than follow adding new device on tools in your cell. go to blue tooth and follow prompts , also pass key is 0000 or 1234. good luck and dont feel intimidated by it if your not used to it it will get better.
I think something's goofy with these headsets. I bought 2 of them recently (one for me and one for my g/f). Within a week or so, she told me hers just "died" - and she couldn't get the blue light to come on when it was plugged into the charger.
Mine acted dead too, just a day or so before she told me about her problem. On mine, I think I just held down the "volume down" button and the main button at the same time for about 15 seconds and it appeared to "reset" it. That apparently didn't work for hers, but oddly enough - after a few days, we plugged it into my charger and it started working again!
hold the on/off button and the + button for 2 min. If you fail at the first time. Try again, until you see the blue solid light. Search again in your phone, you should see Jabra bt160. Enter 0000 at the passcode. Good luck
HEADPHONES AND SPEAKERS
Hi There Try this,
Try Adjusting the vlume on your PC first. Check the volume on the Headphone too if there is one.
Using a dump clothe. Wipe the plugs with a twisting motion.
Check your battery if it is drained. Try replacing them witha new one or charge them if they are rechargables.
If all fails then You may have a Sound Card problem. Using a spare Speaker or Headphone check it if it works. If its not then its Defective and needs replacement. If its working then your Speakers or
Headphones are defective. Try fixing them by cleaning or checking the Continuity of its cables using a analog Multi tester.
Hope This helps
