If you meant that you are changing the INDASH set with another model, the wiring harness will not match unless it the same model/make.
Now it is possible to source the harness which fits to some model but other wise you might need to manually STRIP the wires on the harness and connect from the given wires . Since all the connections are available it is only important that the leads are tested to be connected, the +B switched, + continuous, the Ground and then the speakers, front and rear. If amp is used then connected the switched power to the amp.

How do I add a new motorcycles wire harness

Hi. To fit a new wire harnes is a fairly straight forward job if you still have the old one fitted, the main difficulty is getting the route correct so if you place the new one alongside the old harness, disconnect te battery, do not rush the job work in one area at a time reconecting all the disconnected wires from the old harness with the new, this will ensure you have not left any wires disconnected, and when finnished reconnect the battery live first followed by the earth wire.

I have a 98 grand prix an I was wondering how to install it.. I have a harness that came with it but my factory harness won't fit. I was wondering if j have to rewire the factory harness to my JVC...

You need to go to your local "best buy" or electronics store and ask them for your car's "stereo wire harness". This will convert the wires from your car to match all the colors from your deck. (green, purple, white, gray, blue, yellow, red, ect. Same on all after market decks. All brands use the same wires) Take that new harness and your deck harness, twist the matching wire colors together, tape them with electrical tape, plug the harness back into the car and deck, and it should be good. Click, click, done. Remember to plug the antenna in as well before you get the deck in.

I dont hAVE THE wire hardness for my deck and wondering if am able to get just that part

http://www.shopping.com/Clarion-VRX485VD-wire-harness/products?CLT=SCH

The ones i see listed are not an exact model number match, however, in my experience have found that most harnesses will fit models from the same make... for example, when you swap a Sony deck you can replace it with another Sony deck with a different model number just by unplugging the harness from the deck itself and plugging it into the new deck.

I need to know how to install a cd player in my 1997 jeep wrangler sport.

My suggestion would be to buy a wiring harness and a dash mounting kit. After that unscrew or pull out the console/dash part thats around your factory deck. Then unscrew the bolts/screws holding the factory one in place. Remove it. Plug the wiring harness into the factory wire plug. Pull harness wires through the mounting kit. Attach the corresponding colored wires from the harness to your new deck. Slide your deck into the mounting kit and secure it in place. Most decks have little prongs that you can pry up to **** up against the mounting kit so it wont slide out without pushing those down (makes it more secure and harder to steal). Place deck with mounting kit into area factory deck was. Put the screws/bolts back into place tightly. Place console/dash part back on. You will need the mounting kit (99% of new decks are smaller than the factory). Wiring harness is optional but recommended.

Can I fit electric seats in my 2001 volvo s60 the seats are from a 2005 model, the problem is in the 2001 car there appears to be not enough cable block connectors to fit into the new seat. and is it...

Yes,if the wiring is not the same, you will have to either find different
wire harnesses that fit, or last but least, have someone good with
electric, find the power wire from the old harness, and get it wired into
the new seats to power them up. Good luck.

Wiring in a new car deck

The easiest and most efficient way to hook up your old radio harness to a new head is to use a harness adapter that is made for your vehicle.
If you have not cut off the old plug that went into the old radio then it would be a simple matter of plugging the adapter harness into the old plug and color matching the wires from the adapter to the new head wires, which will be the same colors.
If you go on line to - Installer.com you probably will find the correct adapter for your vehicle. There are other on-line stores that deal with adapters, as well.
If the old plug was cut, it may be possible to splice the plug back to the original wires, then it's a matter of plugging the adapter plug into it.
Hope this helps...

How do I know if a new/used car cd player will fit?

yes.......... just buy a mounting kit for your car and a wire harness for your car.........to install just unplug factory radio and clip the harness on to factory plugs that you just unhooked from factory radio now just attach the same colour to colour wires from your new deck to the harness......mounting kit comes with instructions
(make sure to buy WIRE HARNESS & MOUNTING KIT for your car) and your install should take less than a hr to do

1992 BMW Audio problems

my first suspect would be the harness adapter, if your sound was working ok before fitting the the new decks:take the part number of the adapter and check it again even if you have to check it on line with the manafactures to see it is compatable with your new decks/and your car chassis number.adrian
