Cannot view my own website. it reads: "Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end..." in my index.php file. HELP

Syntax errors are the most common problem for developers. A single syntax error can cripple even the best applications and websites. You can correct syntax errors easily once you find them. Typical errors include missing commas, semicolons and parenthesis. Debuggers are available in many software development kits to aid you in the location of syntax errors. However, you can find and correct syntax errors manually as well. Learning how to correct syntax errors is an essential part of being a software developer.

Locate the syntax error manually. Step through each section of your code. Most code will be sectioned off into groups or functions. Carefully proof your code. Be sure to pay close attention to how lines are grouped. A common syntax mistake is incorrect grouping.

For instance, if you have an If Else statement embedded in another If Else statement, be sure the embedded statement is surrounded by a separate set of parenthesis or brackets, depending on your language. Double-check notes sections. Notes are only for the developer to see. However, if the syntax isn't correct, the notes may become part of your application, which may not agree with existing code. Ensure the syntax around your notes is correct. Run a debugger if possible. This will make locating errors much easier. A debugger will be found under a menu such as Debug, Run or Tools or as part of your SDK's toolbar. Allow the debugger to run. Errors will be listed at the bottom or right side of your screen. Many debuggers will highlight possible errors in your code as well. A line number, along with the possible error, will be listed in the error message. Locate your syntax error if the debugger isn't correct. Sometimes a debugger will show you where your application stopped working correctly. The syntax error itself may be above or below the line listed in the debugger message. Check all syntax within the surrounding area, especially within the line's function. Run your application after correcting the syntax error. Check every possible function of your application to ensure it works correctly. If you find a problem, double-check the syntax in your code that surrounds the problem area. For instance, if your application has a log-in screen that isn't accepting passwords correctly, check the code for the log-in screen. Remove Syntax Error syntax error typically occurs when the Web page you are loading causes a script error in the browser. This is caused by incorrect code that displays an error message or results in a Web page that does not load correctly. You can remove a syntax error by making a change to the settings of your Web browser. Common Web browsers that can experience this type of error include Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Safari.
Double-click the "Internet Explorer" icon to open the program. Click the "Tools" drop-down menu and select "Internet Options." This will display the Internet Options window. Go to the "Advanced" tab and scroll down to the "Browsing" section. Remove the check from the box for "Disable script debugging (Internet Explorer)," "Disable script debugging (Other)" and "Display a notification about every script error." Click the "Apply" button to save the changes. Click the "OK" button to close the Internet Options window. Close and restart the Internet Explorer browser for the changes you made to take effect. b> Mozilla Firefox b> Double-click the "Mozilla Firefox" icon to open the program. Type "about:config" into the address bar and press the "Enter" key. Type "dom.max_script_run_time" into the Filter text box and press the "Enter" key. Double-click "dom.max_script_run_time" to display the Enter Integer Value dialog box. Enter a value of "10" or "15" into the text box and click the "OK" button to save the change. Close and then restart the Firefox browser for the change to take effect. b> Safari b> Click the "Safari" icon to open the Web browser. Select the option for "Preferences" from the menu bar. Go to the Advanced tab and click the option for "Show Develop menu in menu bar." Click the option for "Develop" from the menu bar. Click the option for "Disable Runaway JavaScript Timer." Close and re-open the browser for the change to take effect.

Anu Script Manager 6.0

ANU 6.0 does not work properly in some computers depending on the configuration, like showing an error message "Error: error locking driver" etc. In such situations, instead of uninstalling and reinstalling the application everytime, open "Anu SM" folder in C: drive, there you will find a file "postins2". Double-click it, it instals the fonts again. Now click the Anu icon on the desktop, it asks you whether to restart computer. Reboot the system and start working with ANU 6.0!

WHY DOES OUTLOOK EXPRESS INSIST ON COMPACTING FOLDERS WHEN WE CLOSE IT ?

OE has a long and troubled history with compacting folders. In the most current version, OE compacts all folders automatically after you open and close the program 100 times. Compacting folders is absolutely essential for maintaining your files in good working order. Therefore,
Do not interrupt the process once it has begun
It is best not to use your computer at all until the process is complete, which can take a few minutes.
Under no circumstances must you ever use Task Manager to kill the msimn.exe process, or put your computer on Standby, or turn off the power, or use a memory-intensive program while compaction is occurring. Any of those can cause destruction of your files and the loss of your messages.
If you don't like waiting for that 100th closing, you can compact all folders manually at any time. For best results always use this procedure.
1: On the File menu, click Work Offline so that no new messages will be arriving
2: In the Folder list, click on Outlook Express so that no e-mail or news folder is open.
3: Close the Folder list by clicking the X in the upper right-hand corner of the list panel. Alternatively you can click Layout on the View menu, and then clear the checkbox for "Folder List”.
4: On the File menu, point to Folder, and then click Compact All Folders. Do not use your computer until the process is complete, which might take several minutes.
5: If an error occurs, close Outlook Express, re-open it, and begin the process again from the top. If the same error occurs again, close Outlook Express, restart your computer (or log off and then log on again), open Outlook Express and then begin the whole process again.
Unfortunately that does not reset the internal counter to zero, so OE will still compact after the 100th closing You can edit the registry manually to reset the counter, or you can use OE TOOL to compact all folders and reset the counter at the same time. To reset it manually
1: Close Outlook Express and all message windows.
2: Click Start, click Run and type without quotes "regedit".
3: Navigate to this key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\{GUID}\Software\Microsoft\Outlook Express\5.0
where GUID is the long number used for your Identity
4: In the right-hand pane, double-click "Compact Check Count", then change the value to zero(0).

I cannot get my document printed. when i try to print I get the message printer is busy then , another message that states a printing error occurred appears

Open Notepad and type the following lines:
net stop spooler
del %systemroot%\system32\spool\printers\*.shd
del %systemroot%\system32\spool\printers\*.spl
net start spooler

Save it in your root directory as: C:\DeletePrintJobs.cmd
Create a shortcut for it and move it to your Desktop

Now everytime you have print job(s) that got stuck in the print queue
go to your desktop and Double Click on the DeletePrintJobs.cmd

It will clear all pending print jobs in the print queue and allow you to
print new jobs again.

I can't install windows live messenger, it encounter a network error while attempting to read from the file C:\WINDOWS\Installer\Messenger.msi

I found the site below and thought of your situation. Here is the message I received:
-------
"Network error occurred while attempting to read from the file:
C:\\WINDOWS/Installer/Messenger.msi
Please close all other open programs, and then try again. It looks like another program is preventing the installer from working. hr.0x80070643"
-------
If it's the same message, and you haven't found a solution yet, then this will do the trick. Although it's an older post, it works just fine for the current 14.0.8117.416 Messenger update issue:
http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/forums/index.cfm?action=showthread&threadid=346865&forumid=1
Scroll about halfway down the page. Look for Microsoft Customer Support (Joan, Technical Support, Live Essentials):
Note: For the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility, I downloaded from this link (you'll want the latest version wherever you get it - 2.5.0.1):

I have a hp pavillion mx703 computer and a Lexmark Z705 printer. They have been working fine together till about a week ago. Now my computor does not recognize that I have a printer. I have tried to...

Hi gig14789,
Never do a re-install unless you run the un-install software or remove the program from within add/remove programs in control panel. You're software is all messed up now. Lets try this.
Turn off you're printer (press the on/off button). Click the start button & slide up to & click on control panel. Once opened. Double left click add/remove icon & it will open. Find Lexmark & un-install the software by clicking on remove. Un-install/remove anything having t do with the Lexmark printer. When finished close all opened windows. Restart you're system. When windows has finished loading I need you to creat a folder on you're desktop. Name it (Lexmark Z705). Click on the link below.

http://search.lexmark.com/printer/US/en/15L0000
Save this link above to you're favorites. (You may need to come here again).

Scroll down the page till you see, Lexmark Z705 - Drivers and Downloads. Click on you're operating system.
Click download now. Choose to save the file. Save the file into the folder you created (Lexmark Z705). Once down loaded open the (Lexmark Z705) folder. Double left click the .exe file.
Follow the instruction & on screen prompts. The software will tell you when to power on you're printer.
If this fails to install correctly please post back in this windows & list any error messages you might receive. List you're operating system too.

Good Luck!

Mike
